7 Reviews of the Bordeaux 4 Select SG

We love this tent. Even if it is raining, with the huge windows you don't feel hemmed in and you can still see the world!
It is so easy to put up, I have done it on my own with my 5 and 6 yr old.
We bought the fitted carpet to add to it at the end of last season and really enjoy camping. Our friends have the 6 berth one too which is huge and again light and bright.

What a tent, we tried ours new out of the box for the first time at the weekend, with no instructions we had it up in no time. Only down side is the main front door doesn't have a fly screen, other than that its perfect. We had a great night on the Friday, Saturday night we had the perfect storm! Thundery showers, and the tent stood its ground with no leaks. We needed to down size from the outwell Georgia L, this was the perfect choice

We spent hours and hours (like most people) searching for our perfect tent (2 adults and 2 small children) before deciding on the Bordeaux 4 and we love it. It has everything in it you need, sky lights, annex, windows with inside covers (so people can't nose in at night!) and tons of room. The carpet is also a must have. We're new to camping so didn't want to pay out too much until we knew camping was for us and got ours for under £200 including footprint. I would say the only downside was the weight but it's sturdy and even my husband and I could put it up in 30 mins. Only thing is, now we all love camping so wish we'd gone for the bigger size!

I spent 2 weeks camping in Wales in this tent. First week was dry but the second week made up for that, hoofed it down. The tent stood up very well, kept the wind and most of the rain out, we had a little leak from the back corner but a bit of seam sealer will sort that. The tent is very light and spacious; it has several large windows and sky lights, giving you lots of options. We use the annex as a kitchen which worked well. Pitching the tent was straight forward, took approx 30mins. Once up, it felt so nice, light, airy and very comfortable, especially with the carpet, can’t beat a bit of luxury. Sewn in ground sheet stopped the biddies getting in. Over all a very nice tent.

Excellent tent loads of room very sturdy I think this will stand storm force 10. Very impressed with the ground sheet and side annex is ideal for those muddy wellies. No problems with pitching the tent, but had no instructions with it! Finally found royals web site and printed them off. Looking forward to the new season when we can get away again is this fantastic tent

A great tent that give two people lots of room. I use both a footprint and a carpet and would recommend both. Used in last week of Aug and first week Sep 2008, was it wet. Using the front porch area to cook-in and the side entrance with its own groundsheet, when the rain got to much, every thing remained dry and clean. The metal poles and the numerous guy points made this stable even in high winds.

This tent is packed with core features that should ensure that it will remain stable and dry in all but the foulest British weather (You would not want to be out then anyway). The flysheet is Ripstop fabric so helps eliminate tearing and is HH 3000. It is a very spacious and comfortable tent with plenty of ventilation and light options. Some neat features include the annex (or side door) or as we use it Night Loo. The storage sorters are useful. Pitching is fairly straightforward and easily done in under an hour, packing down is fairly straight forward. The enclosed feeling with the sewn in ground sheet will appeal to the insect wary and with a wall to wall carpet offers a touch of luxury. One criticism of the tent is that the large front door does not have an insect screen but if you do have a midge problem you can always use the side door which does. It is quite a large tent with loads of headroom. I have a groubshhet that is placed undere the tent before pitching and this saves the bottom from the worst of the mud. My young son adores the space and enjoys rolling around on the carpet playing with his toy cars.
Good family tent.
