I am more than happy with my old Royal. I travel by motorcycle and need a compact, lightweight tent. I use a three man tent even though I am on my own so that I can have somewhere for the saddlebags from my bike, my rucksack and still have room to manoeuvre. The waterproofing has never let me down even though it is only a single skin with a 'handkerchief' fly sheet at the top of the dome.
Supposedly it takes two people 15-20 minutes to erect this tent. Why? I have found it to be simple, straightforward and quite easy to erect on my own in 10 minutes on average. Ok, the poles can be a bit of a pain and I have had to replace the elastic but I would recommend this tent to any newcomer to camping. Well worth looking for the modern equivalent.
