5 Reviews of the Toulouse 9
By: Kate08 Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2005 Rating:
This is our 'long holiday' tent - huge! There are 2 adults and 2 kids - we all sleep in one end, and use the other end for storage, leaving a big living space.
As it is a tall dome in the middle, it does need 2 people to put up, just for that raising up of the dome. After that I can manage on my own, takes about 45min - 1 hour. (I'm quite slow!)
Weather resistance - brilliant - has withstood wind and rain with not a drop let through.

I love this tent! We have 5 sons (aged 16, 14, 9, 7 and 3) and this tent has loads of room inside. The living area is huge even with 2 six-footers in the family!
A double airbed only just fits in the 2 man inner pods though.
I had thought the tension problems with the door area was just our poor pitching skills!

Agree with Joe Martin, Great tent but the main door opening never stays taught enough. I put this tent up 4 times now and it always the same. I've used it in high wind and heavy rain it has survived well. Best put up if there are two of you doing it, takes approx 45mins to put up including pegging all guide rope etc.

Had trouble putting it up first time simply because I was on my own with kids (am only 5'0). The space inside excellent, great on wet days plenty of room for all to sit round, relax and listen to the rain. Which is why we went for it.

Excellent family tent that has a large living area and you can stand up in it easily. The only problem is the door opening which never seems to stay taught enough
