4 Reviews of the Siberian Red 104

This tent is roomy enough for 2A and 3C. We use two of the bedrooms, the third one we use as our 'store'. The fabric seems to be mismatched as bits of the sides are higher off the ground than others and the walls are quite saggy. This makes it very draughty and if it's wet/windy water gets in because the bottom flaps about so much. Will be looking for a tent with sewn in groundsheet when we upgrade!

Comfortably sleeps 4 adults 3 kids and 1 dog + luggage etc. Tent only leaked slightly at the seams by the porch in extremely heavy rain. Cured since by application of fabsil waterproofer. Was very easy to pitch, taking 2 people only 10 mins. Standing fully upright only possible if your 5'8' or less. Quite flimsy material so probably only suitable for one season. However for the price I paid ( less than 90 quid) it has been good value for money. Used it 6 times already this year. Great as a starter tent eg to see if camping is for you without spending a fortune.

I can only describe this as a cheap and nasty tent and urge you not to buy one. It really would not sleep 9 unless everyone was very friendly.
I bought this as a family tent at a budget price, but it really does not live up to the description. I am 5ft 9in tall and could not stand up in the tent. By the end of the week I had a permanent crick in my neck.
Practised putting up the tent before we went away, and it was a jolly good job we did because the instructions are far from adequate. The webbing straps that hold the poles were so tight that it took huge physical effort from 2 adults and 2 children to fix the poles in place. Poles are not properly colour coded, they have a coloured paper sticky dot on black poles to indicate which goes where, and these came off after first use. Once erected, the tent looked ok, but after a shower of rain, water was getting into the sleeping pods, so the waterproofing is not very good at all.
Central area is ok for 4 but more than that is not really comfortable, particularly if you have set up a cooker table and stored your food in there.
Have now purchased a Wynnster Pegasus 6 which is great. Be warned, this is a cheap tent, but I am sure that you would only get one use out of it before buying another tent - that is if it does not put you off camping for good!

I bought this tent (very cheaply) and that really should of given me an idea as to it's quality !
On setting up one of the side panel fixing loops had been sewn onto the door by mistake so the side panel had to pegged through the surrounding lip.
One of the inner pods was missing a securing point which meant that the side was draping in, the bathtub ground sheet wasn't.It was just a groundsheet with elasticated connectors that just about fitted into the central and porch areas.
And finally during the first night we had a thunderstorm and awoke to find that the tent leaked and water was getting into the central area, the porch area and two of the bedrooms.
Really not a good tent. And I just wish I'd spent a few more pounds on buying a semi-decent one!
