4 Reviews of the Siberian Red 105

This is our first family tent. As novice campers we erected it fine , although you do need 2 people, especially when doing the first bits before pegging.

It's big enough to stand throughout and very spacious. Tends to need to get wet a few times for full proofing. Had no issues with leaks or blowing over etc. Will sleep 6 adults , more if you use the middle bit. If you have lots of children, you could fit 3 or four in each pod depending on ages. There are also handy storage pouches in each pod for personal items.

We tend to use it as 2 adults in one pod and our 2 boys in the other. We use the 3 pod for storage or as a porch/ entrance for muddy boots and gear. As it opens fully both front an rear this is easy to do.

The communal area , unlike the pods, has a detachable footprint ground sheet. So you can choose to use or not .It's easy to fit.

I would say this is a good , family all rounder, starter tent. Once you decide whether campings going to be a regular thing or want to splash out on fancier, more expensive kit you will have a good idea of how much room and money you are willing to spend. For us it was perfect for summer camping as and when the mood took us.

The tent is spacious and is great as a starter tent. I have used it 6 times so far. The material is flimsy and uneven, in some places there is a gap between the ground and the tent. However the pods are snug & warm. It would be a tight fit for 3 people to sleep in each pod. We are a family of six so we sleep two per pod very comfortably. It did use to leak slightly, but the last time it did not at all even through torrential rain. We must be getting better at pitching the tent. Instructions are inadequate, but you get the hang of it when you realise that the small coloured dots indicates colour code! There are loads of storage pockets that comes in handy and the porch provides additional space. It's good value at £90.00 and I now know what to look for in my next upgrade. This way I will not have made an expensive mistake when looking for my permanent tent. At the moment I have no plans to change it. For me, it does its job.

This is a tent that is easy assembled and looks great with loads of space, however this is the only good points about this tent. As the door is separate to the main tent it allows all the drafts and four legged friends (dogs) to get in, the roof is also separate and lifts like a parachute when the wind gets under it. This tent is also not flame retardant as a little spark managed to create a fist size hole. This tent is probably only suitable for the continent not the cold weather you get in Northern Ireland! This is due to the roof having net and then having a separate roof on top. The winds managed to also create a large hole in one of the bedrooms where the tent joins the ground sheet. This tent only lasted 48hours what a disaster!

I was so proud of getting my new tent it looked great in the pictures and really roomy so we went camping. That's when it started to go wrong, got it all out, two of the elastics in the poles broke as I was putting them together. Got the tent up, the rear bedroom was all sagging and I couldn't get it tight. One of the pegging tags came off when I was pegging out. No way can you get three people in a bedroom unless you actually sleep on the ground. The living area ground sheet didn't fit the area properly and nothing to peg it down with, luckily I had some nail type pegs to fix it down. Oh well at least its up! Great weather all week, good job, because it rained on our last night. We got back from having a meal out went into the tent and oh my god, every bedroom had pools of water. It was leaking in through the window flaps and through where the ground sheet meets the fabric and the rear bedroom it had come through the fabric itself. When we got home I put the tent out to dry and had a look at it and the seams were not taped as it said in the ad and it wasn't bathtub type ground sheet.
