2 Reviews of the Gamma

If you're looking for a tent that really is a home away from home, this is it. Truly it's the size of a house! That being said, for two people to put up only takes about an hour total, and maybe too big for just a couple, but with kids provides an excellent accommodation that is both spacious and sturdy in bad weather. It doesn't have a sewn in ground sheet , but has a tub style, and sewn in groundsheets on the bedrooms. Airy in hot weather and comfortable when its chilly this tent has everything you could want for a family holiday.

Excellent family tent like small bungalow. Spent 2 comfortable 2 weeks in Cornwall in 2007 & using it again in Devon this year for 2 weeks. Best £120 spent on ebay. Bedrooms will take a queen size airbed. Plenty of living space, has stood up to heavy rain, would recommend Skandika tents. Now looking for a smaller one for me and the wife for weekends away.

Manufacturer's Description
Weighing only 27 kg when packed - but giving a surface area of approx. 45 square metres (484 sq. ft.) and a height of more than 2 metres (approx. 6′6”)! Enough room for 12 people! So high that you don’t have to even think about bending or crawling.
The tent is sturdy when pitched and remains stable even in high winds.
Some people think the Gamma tent "heaven-sent" It stays on the ground as if nailed there whether in wind or rain, and protects against harmful UVC rays.
The entrance is your sunroof. With an awning for barbecues or just sitting down to relax. Offering enough space for luggage, a grill, food supplies, etc, etc, etc…
Resilient rods: Made from flexible, yet shatterproof fibre glass, 11mm (0.43”) in diameter.
Breathable inner tent material - ideal for allowing fresh air in. And this means the tent has an ideal climate in all weathers!
Extra resilient water column. A tent is considered waterproof even at 1.200 mm (47.2”)! The Gamma model offers 3.000 mm (118”)! A miracle? No!- just miraculous PU-coated polyester! This also makes the tent UV-resistant and especially storm-proof.
The water column describes the quality and strength of the coating. The higher the water column, the more water-resistant the coating (…and the higher the price).
And another plus point: The finish! Sealed seams with extra reinforced grommets and ties, thicker, webbed threads which make the material more robust and prevent tears from getting bigger. Cords are used to connect segments.
The tent comes in a handy pack complete with numerous accessories such as guy lines, stakes, and easy to read assembly instructions. A repair kit is also included.
