4 Reviews of the Milano 8

Great tent, we call it the transit van tent, not that we park a transit an inside but it does resemble one inside without any bedrooms fitted, no negative points really but make sure you now what your getting, it gets very hot in warmer weather due to no large opening, but a through flow can be generated by opening both doors (one either side) not many windows but its colour is not particularly dark so it's ok. We have also bought the shower attachment which is brilliant but does utilise one of the openings so that cannot be used as normal. All in all a great spring/autumn/winter tent and bug free

We have the Milano 8 tent and it is fantastic. It is so simple to put up and has withstood thunder lightning and torrential rain! and not a drop leaked through the outer skin. It is fully enclosed which is a god send as it keeps our rather bouncy Labrador safely within the tent at night.
We tend to use one set of bedrooms only as one set is ample to contain a double air bed and with the partition down get a single air bed in the other side with space for all our sons things and the dog to sleep on the floor
Which leaves us with a huge living space and the storm porch is a blessing in bad weather we put a ground sheet down and store our shoes and our sons football etc in it

Outer skin up in 25mns.Love the space but think 6 would be its limit if weather bad. The little storm porch is the reason we went for this tent over others. That and bedrooms at each end,we have kids that fight if too close! much as we love the tent on the third outing in a not so very high wind the poles at one end bent and one of the end anchorage point ripped. No other tent on the sight looked remotely affected . Hats off to the manufacturers after we sent pictures of damage they sent a new outer tent and a complete set of poles. Superb after sale service, especially as we had won the tent for less than a quarter of the rrp in an ebay auction. Pity stronger poles are not available as we would have purchased them.

After 18 years and many patches, my old tent eventually passed away.
I now have two children and facing a wet week in Devon, opted for a new tent with plenty of space for those rainy days.
Sold as an eight man tent, it makes a wonderful four man tent if you only put up one sleeping compartment (2 x two berths). We kept the other end of the tent as a storage/dining area.
The seams around one of the doors leaked a little, but nothing that can't be overcome.
The door sills are a little on the high side for children, but mine got used to them after a while.
Downside. You need a fair size garden to make use of these at home.

Manufacturer's Description
Home from home Spacious – quick to pitch – comfortable
The Milano is a great tent for group or family holidays.
The tent has a spacious living area which offers complete insect protection, as do the sleeping cabins. The fitted groundsheet has several advantages:
Since the groundsheet and tent walls are sewn together and sealed, no rainwater can enter here. Creepy crawlies are also kept out. The mosquito nets and screens on all openings also keep out other insects. Pre-mounted parts allow for quick assembly. The tent has a floor space of over 20 sq.m. – plenty of room for 8 people. The generous headroom allows for back-friendly movement around the tent. The living area has a number of windows and doors. The clever combination of mosquito net at the top and transparent PVC at the bottom of the windows is the key to the bright and airy feeling in the tent.
Breathable inner tent material. Fresh air allows for an ideal indoor climate in all weathers.
Extra resilient water column. The water column describes the quality and strength of the tent coating: the higher the water column, the more water resistant the coating (… and the higher the price). A tent is considered waterproof at 1,200 mm (47.2"). Water columns below this level are available, but the difference in quality is obvious as soon as it rains heavily. The Milano model provides a 5,000 mm (197") water column thanks to innovative PU-coated polyester, which also makes the tent UV-resistant and particularly weather resistant.
The tent comes in a handy pack, complete with numerous accessories such as guy ropes, tent pegs and assembly instructions.
