Fantastic easy to erect huge living space. Great we thought till it rained! Never have I known a tent leak so much. You could literally have a shower and fill a kettle at the same time! Totally disappointed with this tent as it would of been perfect! It not only leaked from the top, but from every seam also! It's not as if it was more than a normal rain either worst of all we blew the campsite electrics as the water got into a socket!

We have recently bought a second hand Skandika Saturn 4 - it is in immaculate condition and had only been used once. In normal conditions we can put it up in 20 minutes, but in wind it took almost 2 hours. Once up it was very stable but front end of the tent was facing the wind and we found it kept lifting although tied down well(spilling dogs bowls) etc. It is a nice height - you can stand everywhere even in the bedrooms. We made the 2 bedrooms into 1 to give us more room for 2 adults and 2 dogs.
It poured with rain one of the nights and there was only 1 tiny leak. The tent is bright and airy but has a couple of drawbacks. The small kitchen/porch area which juts out at the side has no groundsheet and a very large mesh panel on front and we found this caused very cold drafts.(it was very windy though) Also a couple of windows had only mesh on inside and flap cover on outside again causing drafts.
I am going to try to get a sewn in ground sheet in the small kitchen/porch area and hopefully that will resolve any issues with drafts.(The bedrooms were nice and cosy though)
I would still recommend the tent even with the small issues we had as the weather was exceptionally windy.
It is a great shape and the living area is very roomy!

We have just bought a skandika 4 Saturn. We put it up in the garden to make sure everything was as should be. Apart from 1 toggle in the bedroom not matching up to the back wall ring and the side door velcro had been stitched through the whole side so had to cut it to use the door, not bad!. The tent size was perfect for my husband and I, plus one dog. Couldnt see how 4 people would fit in the bedroom comfortably however. But very easy to put up.
We then set off for our trip with 4 other tents, whilst putting the tent up one of the tapes at the back of the tent came off whilst trying to secure it with a tent peg, okay, no biggy. Then on the first night, the heavens opened up. We had 15 leaks in all, some worse than others, but all coming from the seams. The carpet we bought to protect the fitted groundsheet was soaked.I don't know whether the seams had been treated or just missed out, but we were lucky there wasnt one over the bedroom compartment. This is meant to be 5000 head, I hate to think what it would be like in torrential rain that England sometimes delivers us?
It then dried out and we carried on with our camping, but when it started to rain the Sunday morning we packed up and left for our dry home. We have contacted Maxtrader to see what they are going to do.The tent cost us £329.On their website. R.R.P £529 Cant see how this is worth that much.

We have been camping for 20 years and this is the best one we have owned. We bought it for a weekend tent and thought it may be a little too big, but it is so quick and easy to put up we are delighted. Weve only used it for one weekend so far but was amazed at the space and we love the sewn in ground sheet. Weather was good so no problems to report. Certainly would recommend, camping and comfort, fantastic.

Fabulous tent. Very spacious. With both of us over 6 foot tall the 6ft 5' headroom is wonderful, no more back ache! It is surprisingly easy to put up, usually all done in 30 minutes. The outside Bodega area is great with a windbreak round it to create a kitchen area. When we're all zipped up for the night absolutely no drafts. I can't speak highly enough about the quality of this tent. A must have tent for all campers

Fantastic tent. Great living space. There is just two of us using this tent and you can make the two rooms into one by rolling up the divider. This way we could walk around the bed instead of climbing over each other. We experienced extreme gales and pouring rain while using the tent. There were a couple of leaks but considering what the weather was like I was very impressed. I expected the tent to collapse during the night but a couple of extra guy lines sorted that problem. We also have a carpet which means your not cold if you get up during the night. This tent has to be our best buy yet.
