2 Reviews of the 3000-hybrid

I really wanted a bigger one, but the wife persuaded me it was just overkill.
We are now thinking about the 4m so we can then get rid of the awning we use with this, but we have to do a lot of soul searching as the 3m bell tent is more than enough for two adults with plenty of luggage, blankets, food boxes, clothing bags and lanterns. Still room to stand in the centre to change your undergarments so you don't need to do the whole lie on your back with your legs in the air thing. We can certainly account for it's weather proofing with heavy rain and coastal winds gusting 30-40mph survived firm and strong (unlike the awning obtained from elsewhere)
Used 3 times; 3 nights in Mid April on Isle of Purbeck when it was dropping to 4-5 degrees overnight, once in New Forest and this week when it was 25 degrees during the day time up in Norfolk.
It does come with the option to zip up the sides, but we're not really fussed by this as a feature so haven't tried.
Our one gripe is that the zips for the vertical door join and horizontal door/groundsheet join don't really meet up, so you end up with a hole 4-5 cm in diameter, which we've had to stuff with a sock or rag to keep the breeze/chill out (or in the case of cheeky new-forest wildlife, the squirrels/jackdaws/bugs) Still racking my brain for a tidier solution without the need for do major stitching surgery.
The little mesh windows are a great feature for the getting a breeze through in the hotter weather (recently humid and 25degrees) while still maintaining privacy.
Setup/takedown is super simple and so stress free I don't even mind the wife helping me on this one!

I have only just bought this tent & it has only been put up in the garden so far. I also have a 4mtr tent but wanted a small one for my teenage kids to use as their own. Its really easy to put up, about 10mins single handed & just as easy to pack away. Nice quality canvas & a good thick groundsheet. My only negative with it was the height at the centre pole & entrance, you have to duck down to get in & out & all though you can stand inside it doesn't have the same height as the 4mtr so doesn't feel as spacious. Ideal for two people though.
