Fantastic tent. Really easy to pitch apart from the cap can be a real faff. We use it year round and with a log burner its so comfortable for winter camping even in -6 and snow no damp feeling even when it rains all day. And when the weather warms up, the canvas breathes really well, catch the breeze with the cap open. A tarp is a useful addition as there's no porch . Only draw back is the door when its raining but there's plenty of room to keep things out the way from any drips . Very wind stable when pitched . Our kids love it we have a waiting list of school friend wanting to come camping . Really well made the only reason I say 9 out of 10 is the cap and the door

As a previous owner of a huge multi pod tent we knew that we could never pitch in the rain so we bought our 5000 Tribe. Good job for last year as we used it 4 times all in horrible weather. It has stood in 60mph winds with just a ripple when many others on the site had theirs ripped to shreds! Lovely and cool in the hot weather and a lovely light in the mornings. Our only complaint is when it rains and you go in and out of the door you do get some run off inside the tent. We also have a Cobb cooker which acts as a heater in the evening and keeps the tent quite toasty! We love our soulpad and would certainly buy another.

As the blurb on the soulpad website states this tent really stands out from the crowd, It's tall at 3.5M so no issues with standing up and getting dressed and at 5mtr diameter it really is big enough for 4 double airbeds.

We use single self inflating mattresses (4no.)and they get swallowed up in the huge space, we have even had 5 beds made up and had room for the table and chairs to have a game of cards so space is never an issue.

Pitching is a dream as all you need do is peg out the bottom then unzip the door and put the pole up the centre and the tent is up, just peg out the tensioning straps and guys and you are away, I've put it up on my own in 20 minutes and with 2 people it takes just over 10 minutes, and packing up is just as easy.

There is only one problem with big canvas tents; and make no mistake this is huge when packed as well as up, and that is when they get wet and you have to pack away, drying it out can be a real problem.

We only use it as a fair weather tent now. It's okay in showers as the rain runs off due to the treatment it gets in the factory (we've since sealed it with grangers as well) but if you are in heavy rain and the canvas gets soaked you can feel cold and damp inside and getting it dry when you get home can be a pain! ( ours has never leaked though even in the torrential downpours of last summer!)

On the up side it's great in the sun as it's much cooler than polyester type tents and of course it's much warmer in the cold or wind.

Without doubt a great tent and lots of fun, it always gets comments from fellow campers (we've never taken it away and not had a comment from someone!)

To summarise We love it for it's quirkiness, size, quality and ease of use and we hate it when it gets wet and we have to dry it at home!

We're now looking at getting a smaller tent from Soulpad to take if it looks like raining so it's easier to dry as they are such good quality and beautiful spaces to be in.
