3 Reviews of the Hood River 4
By: Foscamp Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2011 Rating:
I looked around for ages to find a tent that I could put up by myself but still had 3 separate bedroom compartments. As I have a teenage girl and younger boy this was my main reason to buy this tent. I have used on four occasions, including a 16 day holiday, and have found the tent perfect for my needs. The living room is large enough for TV and 4 chairs etc. Would get 10/10 but draft gets in door so I use draft excluder. I paid £150 for this tent and it is still as good as new!

We used a sprayway hood river 4 for long weekends away 3 times. We found it easy enough to erect trying different methods each time. Quickest being around half an hour but we never seemed to get it up quite right. I would say this is a good size for a couple wanting space, we had our table, chairs, kitchen unit and fridge in there with room to spare. It would comfortably take 3 people I reckon. Our last weekend in it was a very wet and windy weekend but can report no leaks at all so it stood up well. My only cons with the tent was in cold weather, regardless of having the vents shut, it was difficult to keep this tent warm inside. Also the bottom of the doors flap around in high winds but might have been the way we where pitching it. Otherwise would have had a higher rating.

Due to my partners disability it is important that I can erect the tent alone and I was able to do this with the Sprayway Hood River 4. Plenty of space for a family of three with accommodation that meets our needs. Being the height it is is advantageous as it doesn't make you feel claustrophobic. This is the first tent we have owned so I am unable to provide any comparison but I certainly cant think f anything from a tent that this model doesn't provide.
