3 Reviews of the Meadow 4

I have this tent and used it for the first time during May of this year. I have downsized from a much larger tent. I found this tent very easy to pitch, I loved the unusual colour scheme, it arrived with all the pieces and it didn't leak at all. However, it is only a part sewn in ground sheet with the porch area having an added clip-in ground sheet and I accidentally left a gap between the 'living' area and the front porch so I did have a 'puddle' when I woke up the next morning. Easily fixed with some tweaking and restaking of tent pegs. Agree with above comment about sleeping pods being see-through and slightly over engineered. However, I still managed to get 4 single airbeds in there. I also like the flexibility of the middle door being used as a side door or completely rolled up to expand the whole living area. All in all for the price I paid I think it is a great little package.

As with the previous reviewer's tent, our arrived missing a ring & pin which didn't set a good first impression. The tent fabric feels flimsy in comparison to other tents I have owned but overall, it's not a bad tent. The porch being included makes pitching very simple and it goes up in around 20 mins. The internal layout is flexible with the middle door being divided into sections - so can be fully closed, half open or rolled up entirely. The bedroom layout feels over engineered as the 'storage pod' is useless for a tent of this size. We rolled it up and used the bedroom as a single room; unfortunately the fabric is slippery and as opaque as a net curtain so it won't stay rolled back without the use of clothes pegs.

The red and black colour scheme is very striking and makes a change from the usual greens or blues available. Be warned though - at dusk the red guys are invisible against grass so take glowsticks.

To my surprise, the tent didn't leak in heavy rain. I wouldn't recommend purchasing it as for the same money there are much better tents. Mine was a gift so I will continue to use it for weekends away.

I purchased this and was led to believe it's HH was 4000. Several websites quote differing HH, from 2,000 up to 4. First time we used it, one pole set had to be connected up again. One of the O rings to fit the poles in was missing, and one of the connectors to install the bedrooms was missing. It then rained for no more than 5 minutes and the roof leaked all over.
