7 Reviews of the Eden 800

We love this tent to bits, been using it for 3 years now and it has not let us down yet. The bedroom is so spacious we get our double bed, dogs large bed and a wardrobe and still room to spare for getting dressed. The living area has enough room to sit 6 around a table comfortably if weather is bad(with second bedroom up too). What we really like is the large porch at the front, we cook there, wash up there and watch the world go by there! It has a lovely large opening. We have got better at pitching, it's quite bulky and 5 poles so still takes around 45 mins (for 2 girls) to get the shell up, then it's just a case of minor adjustment and putting up bedroom(s). Enclosed groundsheet in living space and bedroom so nice and cosy. Reason for 9 not 10 - the side doors have 3 zips to contend with and if you're in a hurry it's a bit frustrating! Apart from that, it's perfect. When the inevitable happens (a few years yet we hope), we shall be looking for someone selling discontinued stuff! But if Sunncamp make an identical model, we would definitely buy it!

Owned this tent now for 2 years nearly and it is a fantastic tent. It has stood up to horrendous weather, high winds and storms, and not once has it let a drop of water in. Light and airy inside, spacious, as we have had 14 sleep in it for bank holiday weekend and 2 dogs!
It has 3 door ways, one on each side and the main one at the front by the kitchen area. The two side doors both have fly sheets to protect from bugs etc.
The bedrooms, 3 in total are very spacious and have many compartments to store bits and bobs.
If I did had to criticise this tent at all, it would be to say that you must make sure you prop up the front bucket groundsheet in the kitchen area when raining harshly as this can sometimes droop and could let water in, and we have found no problem doing this. The rest of the tent has a fully sewn in ground sheet so not a problem there.
Compared to other tents we have used. This is a dream of a tent.

Just back from a week near Lulworth Cove. Main reasons for purchase were tall enough for me (I am 6ft 3)and I can even stand up in the bedroom and it had to be light and airy. The Eden has 9 windows all with zip up blinds and a light coloured roof making it really light inside. It pitched in about an hour with just two of us but three people would make it easier and quicker (especially if windy). We had the most horrendous 2 days of storms that wrecked other tents on site but the Eden weathered it all. Only slight downsides are the tallish step over the sewn in groundsheet between the two living areas occasionally catches out children(and sleepy adults!) and in wet weather the doors droop inside the tent when opened and water runs in, but these are really minor and do not detract from how good this tent is. Highly Recommended.

We love this tent and have been camping with it twice now.We found it easy to put up for a big tent and the living space is great it also stands up to the British weather quite well although we have had water leaks in 2 places on the tent. We had the tent exchanged for the same one because of the leaks on the first one as they where very bad but the second tent also leaked in the same places but not as bad and after using some seam sealer on the area it seems ok now.We have just come back from a week in settle in the rain and would go again with this tent as we like it so much.

This is our first big tent which we bought after a lot of research. My husband has just summed it up by saying you would have to go a long way to beat this tent, as what else could you add to make it better!
Loads of space, really easy to put up and the porch really does come into its own on various occasions. I agree the large bedroom area divided by a curtain may not suit everyone but for us it's what we were looking for, all together with the kids in the middle, reminds me of the Waltons and I love it. PS I only agreed to start camping if we could have this tent and it's GREAT

I just love this tent. I have a few tunnel tents, but this the best.
Huge living space.
Easy to erect, very sturdy even without the supporting side poles.
Good quality fabric and zips.
The front porch was a real bonus in this tent, all the kitchen gear and a table and chairs , plus the baby buggy got stored in there.
Good ventilation with all the mesh doors .

We upgraded last year to the Eden 800 and we were really impressed with the way it held up during the not so great British summer. The built in groundsheet was a god send during the downpours and although a bit noisy during a storm we had, we were still standing the following morning unlike some others!
One large sleeping area at back divided by a curtain may not suit everyone, sleeps 6, but there is an additional inner tent for another 2 which we didn't use.
The large living area, good head height and lots of windows made the wet days much more bearable, we managed to get 10 sitting down for tea inside which gives you an idea of the size. When the sun finally came out having 3 different doorways, 2 with fly sheets, was great to help the air circulate.
We used the separate porch area for cooking and dumping all the gear, which helped to keep the main living area cleaner.
Overall we think this is a good versatile family tent, which is easy to put up but can be a bit trickier if windy.
