This is a brilliant tent for camping in the UK with children. It has loads of space for them to play indoors if the weather is a bit rainy/cold. We have had 14 people on chairs in the living area during one trip.
The bedrooms are roomy too, big enough for 5 at each end if necessary.
The windows, doors, fly screens all function as they should.
It takes us about 30 mins to pitch now. We use a separate ground sheet.
We have camped all over the UK and so experienced varied weather, and the tent has withstood everything.

Decided to start camping again after many years but as we are not as young as we where we wanted to be able to stand-up and have room to move. It has been good on our own here in the UK, France and also camping with family. It was the size of the living space that attracted us to this tent. We have been away with 9 of us, 6 of us sleeping in the tent but 9 of us sat in living space most of us sat on chairs with a kitchen all set up as well. Would recommend this tent for space, have also had torrential rain and strong winds and it has stood up to all thrown at it.

We actually got this tent second hand from a friend who had bought a caravan, and what a buy! it has seen some pretty grim weather I can tell you and has never let us down. Loads of windows and you can unzip your pods to look out too, features missed on cheaper tents I feel. I have now purchased a folding camper but cant bring myself to let the haven go yet'!

Great tent, loads of windows ,mesh on doors. We used the larger pod without the divider to make a lovely big bedroom for my hubby and I. Loads of room to get changed and move around. We had loads of positive remarks on the campsites we stayed on. Shame it now has been discontinued, we added the Verona canopy to cook and eat in. Just great

We are a family of 4 and this is our first tent. What a great buy!
It's huge. Fantastic when it's a bit dreary outside, there's lots of room to play games etc with the kids to stop them from getting bored.
We've only used the tent twice since we bought it, that's because I had to be coerced into becoming a camper! Not any more though, I love it!
The tent is so easy to erect, 5 poles, a few pegs and you're done. The children use the 2 separate bedroom pods and we use the large pod with the divider for storage (and the loo for night-time emergencies).
We're now considering getting the canopy for our next trip.
We did try to book onto a couple of sites this year but were told that the tent was too big, that's a bit of a shame but it is accepted on lots of other sites, so I don't think our choices are too limited.
Just returned from a week in Scotland, where we had fab weather, although some heavy rain in the evening. It was also quite windy, but the tent held up very well with no leaks and no loose ropes.
Would like fly screens on both doors and double electric points would be great but other than that it's a fab tent.

The Haven 800 seemed tick enough boxes, although somewhat alarmed by its size (a Haven 600 might have suited us better, but didnt seem to exist). We wanted a vis-a-vis so that the restless children could sleep at one end & the extra room at our end made a great storage room.
Pros: Spacious - the 3m square living area was stupendous and 4 rooms worked well for us.
The porch extended the usefulness of the tent in both wet & dry conditions
Cons:
Size - pitch size limits how you can orientate the tent. This means that you might have to be side on to the wind, as we were, or that the tent could block the sun, of which we didn't see much.
Size - packed size is
Weight
Floppy. We were subject to some (summer) winds & the tent gave us cause for concern as to whether it would fail. Our previous ground-hugging tunnel tent with tension bands has probably spoiled us in that respect, but the amount of deflection of this tent was alarming.
Build quality. We were led to believe that Sunncamp were at the top end. Our tent leaked badly in one corner so we had over 2' water in a collapsible crate & down beside one of the rooms.
The porch was tricky to erect/attach & fluttered/flapped annoyingly. And had a small hole near a lower edge.
During or holiday - the first use of it - we rang the dealer when we discovered the leaks & arranged to return it on our way home to get a refund. They were excellent about it (DW camping, Chichester - would like to buy our next tent from them if they have what we want)
That said, I think we were possibly unlucky with our tent & might consider another Sunncamp tent if they had the right thing, but I would look at many others first as we were rather hacked off by our experience.
Although this tent is apparently discontinued, presumably it has been replaced by something similar as the 800 replaced the 8.

Bought this tent to replace our Kyham Arizona. The main reason for buying was that it had fewer poles and a sewn in groundsheet and therefore quicker and easier to erect than the old one.So far, we have used the tent twice and it's certainly much easier to erect and after having read previous logs, we leave the bedrooms inside the main tent with the floor hooked out to aide with getting the tent square first time. (Just leave the bedroom doors slightly unzipped when packing away to help with folding the tent up.)
We also removed all the guys from the window ventilation points as we have found that the ventilation is much better as when there is a breeze the 'eyebrows' fill out instead of being tied down at the wrong angle and therefore reducing ventilation. We are a family of 4 and have plenty of space in this tent (we've added a Sunncamp Verano DL extension to use as a kitchen area).
Would have preferred to see cable entry points to both sides of tent as we put the extension across the back door, but with leaving the back door rolled up and the flyscreen down we don't have any real problems and we certainly get plenty of ventilation! Love all the windows which make the tent very light unlike other tents. We also use a footprint groundsheet to protect the main groundsheet and also helps us with ensuring we have enough area to pitch the tent! The guys are fluorescent so no night time disasters and there fewer guys after taking off the window points.
I would definitely recommend this tent even though it has been discontinued - we picked our one up for £250 - worth every penny!

The Haven 800 is our first family tent. There are 5 of us and we find it a comfortable size.
It's pretty easy to pitch if you follow the instructions, it doesn't take long.
I think it's important to add to other reviews that although there are 3 bedrooms, the larger one can be split into 2 with a divider that comes with the tent.
There are loads of windows on this tent which makes it light and you can 'people watch' when you're stuck inside when it's pouring down! You can stand up even in the bedrooms which is an advantage over many tunnel tents.
I wish the tent came in a slightly bigger bag or even a roller bag would be great. Apart from this I've no niggles with this tent.

We have owned the Haven 800 for 2 years now. Was a bit unsure about the size, but love it. Been away with 6 others and just the 2 of us, perfect combinations, So much space if you don't use the other bedrooms on the window side which we don't on most camp trips. SIG keeps drafts and crawlies a bay,but wind can sometimes catch under tent and lift floor? Only problem we find are the air vents on the windows, just don't seem to be enough vent even with so many windows, can get very hot on a nice day. Hence the a fly screen on both doors would be ideal. Never had a problem with the size on campsites, and we've been to a few. I've not seen a new tent yet to make me part with the Haven.

HI,as a first time camper and first tent I was worried about the size of the haven 800 but I have to say couldn't be more pleased. Went to a sympathetic local campsite for first trip ,told them I was new and they gave me plenty of room and advice where to pitch. Got tent up in hour and a half, with lots of directions from wife who seemed to think she knew what to do. Spent the whole weekend being asked questions by other campers about the tent and showing them around and was more impressed by the fact they were impressed with the tent. Would like flyscreen on both sides and two electric points as previous reviews but otherwise very happy.
