2 Reviews of the Journeyman
By: Dreamful55 Reason: I've used one Made in: 2010 Rating:
The Journeyman is easy to put up once you have managed to work out the vague instructions. The three main black roof poles go in from the motorhome end - to the front, there are actually four sleeves you can use and we mistakenly put them in the wrong place, the front sleeve at the j opening is for a supporting bendy pole. There are one or two things you need to watch out for. The round pole clips that attach the awning to the steel poles are very fragile and will snap easily. The awning I took receipt of last week had one already broken off before putting up. On inspection. The material is very thin so beware you don't poke anything through it (need to watch the kids).
Once the awning is up it is very spacious, and because of the lightweight material it dries very quickly as we found out ! Darn rain! All in all a very good awning for the money, lightweight, spacious, and the inner tent is an added bonus. Stayed up well in wind, excellent space for all those things that clutter the van! The middle section is ideal for rolling up and admiring the view. Fab!

Good value for money, not too hard to erect. Once you've done it once, you can do it in 35mins. Spacious and stands well in wind, the only downfall is that the fabric is a bit flimsy. I would probably spend more and get a better quality item next time but am happy to keep and use this one till it dies!
