7 Reviews of the Verano DL Canopy
By: Blanchy Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2009 Rating:
I purchased the canopy to fit over my Sunncamp Invader 600 and was immediately impressed by the the amount of extra space it gave me. Although I rate it 10 out of 10, I too had a problem with the initial supply as the poles had been made too long. When we finally had our ordered filled and used the canopy for the first time, there were a number of faults, small holes, footprints on it, loose threads hanging and seams that did not match up. This still did not spoil our enjoyment of the product and we will be keeping it as we can rectify the holes easily ourself.

Just bought on ebay. Canopy didn't sit correctly. Luckily measuring the pole they were 8cm too long. Thanks for the previous posts that gave me the confidence to cut them down. 30 min later the canopy is easier to pitch and sits perfectly on frame.
Apart from the poles, the canopy is a useful addition to our tent(sunncamp shadow 800) and I'm very pleased.

Bought a Verano canopy last year to go with the sunncamp Kansas 8 - quite easy to get up with the two of us, (a little fiddly to get over top of tent at first but getting better at it)
It adds bags of space to the front of the tent, we made it our kitchen area which is really handy as it frees up so much room in the living area of the tent.
Really glad we bought it and would recommend it

I bought a Verano DL on ebay last year, to go with a Haven 800. Build quality seemed very good, but it didn't seem to sit correctly - the flysheet seemed too far from the ground for comfort. So I dropped Sunnflair a line to check the dimensions, and it turned out my poles were all 8cm too long! 20 minutes later with a pipe slice and the problem is rectified and the porch works correctly.
So - if you have a similar problem, check your poles. They should be 194cm from the end of the pole to the start of the bend. Hth!

I had to return my original Canopy as there was a recall by the manufacturer. The poles were too long! I was given a replacement canopy and went away camping a couple of weeks ago. How disappointed I was! We opened the bag and put the poles together no problem but when the flysheet went on, we noticed numerous faults - burn marks, rips, holes and splits on the taped seams. Fortunately the weekend was fine so we didn't worry too much about the holes but obviously needed to replace this item again! I called the supplier from the campsite to explain what I had found and have now received a refund from the supplier. I have also written to Sunncamp about the poor quality of the product and enclosed pictures of all the faults but I haven't received a reply. Whilst the original canopy was fine, and the space most welcome, we have decided to part company with this canopy and have purchased a Gelert Horizon Porch instead which we have yet to take away and test out!

We have used this twice already since it was out on the market in May 2010. Bought this to use as a kitchen area to give more living space in our Haven 800. Love this! Very easy to erect. Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone with a tunnel tent who is looking for more space. It also helps with ventilating the main tent as you can leave a door permanently rolled up and the rain won't get in!

We used this for the first time end of May, it housed all our kitchen stuff in and there was still plenty of room to sit in.
We had some wind and rain over that weekend and it held up well no leaks. Very pleased with it,
Just the sort of canopy you need to give you that little bit extra room with the added advantage of being able to have just a door or unzip the whole front when it gets too hot.
