Had this tent since 1999. It is a small light 1 man (or 2 if you know the person well) single pole tent. It is pitched inner first and the fly velcro's on at 3 points over the top. This is a very high quality robust tent that stands up to whatever the weather can throw at it. It has limited storage space for kit due to its size and being an inner first design can get damp in a wet pitch (however it goes up very quickly). A quality product that will remain with me for years to come.

One-man tents come second to two-man tents and it's a day of celebration when a new one arrives on the scene. The Terra Nova Solar is the latest offering, and it looks set to become a classic. The Solar weighs just 1.79kg, which puts this one at the top of the league for lightness. The packed size of only 13cm x 44cm is excellent too, achieved by chopping down the length of the shock-corded alloy poles. An added advantage here is that the packed size is now suitable for cyclists who may want to pack the tent onto their rear carriers. Of course the tent can also easily be stored in a rucksack.
