The Trigano Zephyr 8 is a large family dome tent that has three separate bedrooms (2 x 3-berth and 1 x 2-berth) that are positioned around the large 220x220cm living area. The beauty of a bedroom arrangement of this type is that it gives the occupants of each bedroom a bit more privacy and space. Leading on from the living area is a also a large porch area that features clear PVC windows to allow plenty of light into the tent. The entrance is a large panel front door that can either be rolled up or propped out to form a sun canopy on warm, sunny days (canopy poles not supplied).
The flysheet-first build of the Zephyr 8 involves the simple 'threading' of the 7 fibreglass poles through the reinforced Oxford polyester pole sleeves of the flysheet. The cross-over pole format of the build provides excellent strength and rigidity to the whole construction. The flysheet is a 190T/70D polyester PU coated flysheet with 3000mm hydrostatic head waterproof protection with fully taped seams. The living area features a loose, flat polyethylene groundsheet which promotes greater air circulation and reduced condensation than tents with sewn-in groundsheets.
The inner tents to each of the bedrooms pods are made with breathable polyester and feature half net doors for ventilation and to keep out mosquito's and all have bathtub style polyethylene groundsheets. Other specifications include, PVC coated fibreglass poles of 8.5 mm and 11mm diameter; steel pegs; carry bag.
