Love this Tent bought 2nd Hand but great Tent Have had a few outings but have had no problems putting up or taking down Plenty of room just wish could get accessories easy as still great tent in use. Need more options of adding to this great Tent such as closed in front awning and the option of a four and two bedroom inner but as the colour is green it is easily matched to everything else. Just ashame that you are up early as it does not keep the light out.

The first tent we've used and we are very happy with our purchase. We chose it for its spacious living area and bedrooms, attached front canopy and big windows. It lived up to all our expectations. Despite the limited instructions that come with it and our limited experience, we found it easy enough to pitch following the videos online and the tips from other owners on here. The poles ARE heavy but we found that reassuring, especially in the high winds it stood up to overnight. We also experienced VERY heavy rain and not a drop came into the tent. We have the footprint and the carpet too which I would consider essential accessories for extra comfort. The 4 + 2 bedroom configuration suits us perfectly, we all slept in the 4 berth section (2 adults and 2 children) with plenty of space and used the extra bedroom for storage and for the toilet. Very glad we chose this tent.

We bought this tent a few months ago and have had two camping trips in it to date. Both trips we experienced heavy rain and some high winds. The tent was absolutely bone dry. We are very happy with our purchase. We are a family of four and this tent provided plenty of bedroom space and an ample living area. We cooked in the canopy and even though we had lots of rain all our equipment in the canopy was dry. However this could be due to the direction of the wind.
We had no problems with the air vents making the tent cold but we had learnt on the second trip to make sure we took time to errect the tent properly, making sure the poles were positioned correctly making the vents taut. However there is one draw back -when we needed to lift the tent off the ground to position the frame it was very heavy for two people.
Overall we are very happy and feel it is an ideal family tent. A good buy for the money.

Wonderful tent ,loads of room and everything we had hoped for when purchased this tent. We wanted space in the living room and more storage. It was easy to put up approx 45 mins to hour.It was good to chill out in porch and had kitchen outside of main living area. All in all great family tent im glad that Vango decided to make the poch sewn in instead of adding on with zip.The storage pockets are good. We had a tigris before and that was good .

We have just come back from a weeks camping holiday, first time using our new 2011 Amazon 600.
Easy to pitch {1 1/4 hours}
I must say what a disappointment it was though. The front porch was not protected from breezes /wind and showers meant we had to get wet whilst cooking .
We chose the Amazon 600 over the Maritsa 700 as the ads state 'The porch area will provide shelter against any showers and breezes and also offers a substantial additional social area for dinners and drinks'.
The inside the tent was all so very breezy as you are unable to close the vents by the windows, why is this ? you could feel the rain coming through the vents.
It didnt leak or move around but the constant breeze coming through put us off 0f it.

We wanted a tunnel tent that was easy to pitch and had lots of space. When we saw the updated 2010 model of this tent, we knew it was what we were after. The enclosed porch, incredibly large living area and large 4-2 option for bedroom layout are the points that got our vote. We only used it twice in 2010 but more last year, and have been very impressed with it. The porch is large enough to cook in, but we do prefer to cook inside the tent and there is ample space to do that too.
We've bought a lot of accessories for the tent, including footprint groundsheet, carpet and matching windbreak, as a little touch of luxury and privacy from the outside world. (It's very nice in the morning to put your feet on a carpet instead of a cold groundsheet).
It takes us around 1 hour 30 mins to put the tent up (2 people) but we're still practising, and the ring and pins are hard to get in, but squeezing the bottoms of the poles towards each other helps a lot.
We only have one niggling point that has caused us to mark the tent down and that is the groundsheet is not FULLY sewn-in as advertised, but actually has square holes in it around where the front three poles pass by the top of the groundsheet. I contacted Vango regarding this and they said the holes were there to prevent extra stress being placed on the stitching for the groundsheet at those areas. (I don't believe them, as the rear two poles don't have these holes). It would have been much better to cover these holes with some kind of elasticated mesh to prevent bugs and spiders (one site we visited we ended up spending 15 minutes just clearing the earwigs out) from getting into the tent, along with small puddles of water when the wind blows the rain in. Someone has suggested taping pieces of black tights over the holes, and we will try that this year.
Overall it is a good tent and the large living area meant we were easily able to get 10 adults in during the evening all seated and comfortable.

Nice size tent, very easy to erect, (2011 Blue Model) but hardly the massive living area that people keep raving about. Once the bedrooms are in I find the living quarters a little on the cramped side, if you add a reasonable size table, chairs and cooking equipment you hardly have room to swing a cat, why have the makers put so much emphasis on the outside front section, it totally takes away at least a metre of what could have been added to the living area of the tent, I would have preferred to have the option of adding an extension to the front of the tent.A little more thought and this could have been a real winner. I think you’re better off going for the 800 model. If you really want luxury and PLENTY OF SPACE you need the Vango Zanzibar 800, now that’s an aircraft hanger and feels like a real tent

As a 3 generation family this was a great tent with ample sleeping space and a roomy living area. It packs down really well into its carrying case. We've had a couple of trips with it and are getting the hang of putting it up with it being a large tent. The colour coding on the sleeping compartments is a real help. The tent stood up well to some quite gusty and rainy nights with no leaks and no damage. My parents are thinking about getting the porch extension to make the space even more flexible.

We bought this tent at the beginning of 2010, and so far we are really pleased with our purchase.
We are a family of four, with a 6 year old, a 2 year old and a dog. The enclosed canopy on the front has been a godsend for us, as it means whether rain or shine, we are all able to be outside all the time. The only things we really do inside the tent, is sleep and cook. The canopy has also meant we've never really needed a windbreak.
We use the third bedroom for storing clothes, and dressing in as it has a really handy clothers hanger pole, this is great as everything is away from view and there's no mess in the main part of the tent.
There are two side doors in addition to the main door, its nice to have these open on a hot day (not that you get many in the UK) to let a breeze through.
One weekend when we were away there was terrible rain and wind, but the tent never even moved. We were expecting to get up the next morning to all sorts of problems, but there was not even a peg out of place!
I have nothing negative to say about this tent, it has turned out to be perfect for our needs, and we all look forward to the next time when we're going on a camping trip.
I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a large family tent with plenty of room.

We've used this tent for 4 years now, and if we needed a new tent (which we don't) we would buy the same one again - which says a lot.
For such a large tent it's very easy to put up - almost all of it can be done by one person, with a 2nd person required for about 1 minute just to stand the tent up.
Since it has steel poles is very sturdy. We've subjected it to some very heavy rain and winds, with no significant leaks or problems.
The bag ours came in had a separate section for the bedroom pods - but this was bigger than it needed to be, making it a struggle to get the main tent in the rest of the bag - so I cut the inside of the bag out to make it one huge bag - and now the whole tent with the bedrooms fits in relatively easily (i.E. Usually first attempt).
The newer versions have a slightly larger and more enclosed porch, plus bedroom pods which can be zipped together into a large one - certainly useful tweaks to our older version.
We have the footprint groundsheet and the carpet, which I'd recommend.
All in all a great large family tent. Highly recommended.

Manufacturer's Description
A new range of family tunnel tents that replaces the popular Vango Vail range. The Vango Amazon tents are steel poled tents which offer a cavernous (Stan saw the Beatles here), open living area and three spacious full height bedrooms. In addition, they also feature a fully sewn-in groundsheet which protects the occupants from the outside elements. Because it's such a large tent, great importance has been placed on allowing plenty of light into the space and so a large 'veranda' front door, two canopied side doors, multiple large panel 'Crystal Clear' windows and skylights have all been incorporated to maximum effect. Finally, the Vango Amazon's also come complete with a zip-on sun canopy - great for al fresco cooking and dining. The Vango Amazon 600 features 3 x 2-berth sleeping berth (which will sleep 6 adults comfortably) and all of which are removable.
Other features include a Protex 5000 durable polyester flysheet (5000mm hydrostatic head), taped seams, heavy duty Oxford external storm skirt, 3 mesh doors, mesh vents, colour coded Powerplus Steel poles, pre-angled poles for rigidity, flysheet first pitching, PE waterproof groundsheet, breathable polyester inners, storage pockets and hanging organisers, double zip windows (for 3 vent/light options), cable entry point, lantern hanging point, roller bag, repair kit. Flame retardant throughout.
