3 Reviews of the Asante 600

I recently bought this tent with the front canopy, footprint and carpet in an end of season sale and to say I'm happy with it is an understatement. The tent is extremely easy to erect taking around 40minutes in total including the canopy and looks great with the Atlantic blue colour, It is very sturdy in strong winds due to the steel pole frame and the Vango line lock system. It is very dry in wet weather as it has a 6000hh which is extremely good considering most tents have around a 4000hh and with the air vent system and the roof liner you do not suffer a lot of condensation. In the main part of the tent it has two good size bedrooms which has a mesh divider separating the 2 rooms which you can either leave up or unzip to make 1 large bedroom and comfortably sleeps 5 people. There are also handy storage pockets in the main part of the tent which is great for keeping your personal items in a safe place. The tent is very light light due to the large windows which can be opened fully, half or completely closed for privacy. Another great feature is that there is an inner mesh door on both the main door and the side door which is great for keeping out any bugs, and there is also an easy access point for electric hook up cable to enter the main tent. The main tent has a completely sewn in groundsheet and the extension has a bathtub style groundsheet which is great because you can wash it to keep it in great shape. All in all this is in my opinion one of the best tents out there and is very good value for your money, I would recommend this tent to anybody.

I agree with the previous review that this is a great tent overall and that it is very stable in stormy weather and perfectly watertight in driving rain.
We bought this tent online for a much reduced price and have so far been away on 3 separate trips with it. The tent has been great and far better than we had expected. The tent is very well ventilated and does not suffer from condensation, even on cold damp nights. I am over 6ft tall and the headroom is fine for me. Despite being a tunnel type of tent it is very stable in strong winds.
With practice we now can get the tent fully erected and everything unpacked and airbeds inflated in under 1 hour. The steel poles make the overall package quite heavy, but if you pack the poles separately then the weights are easy to handle. The tent is also very easy to pack away, wet or dry, just as long as you remember to dry it out as soon as you get home.
I think the door zips and inner tent must have been updated as we don't have the issues that the previous reviewer reported. In fact this tent is streets ahead of our sightly older Outwell tent and our previous British made canvas frame tent.
So, in conclusion, we are very happy with the Asante and hope it will continue to serve us well for a number of years.

This is a great tent overall. It is very stable in stormy weather and was perfectly watertight in driving rain.
The mesh door screens allow the tent to be very well ventilated and have a good cooling effect.
Inside, the inner tent allows virtually full height access throughout allowing easy dressing/changing in privacy.
The tent is very easy to erect and pack. The two of us take an hour and ten minutes from parking up to fully set up with all our gear inside.
A feature that we like is the roof lining which is great for keeping condensation away and helps keep the inside warmer in cold and cooler in warm conditions.
On the pesky side of things are the doors. The zips on screens and doors are single zipper on each and on our tent worked from opposite sides. This meant full unzips on both on each entry! A real negative for us. Also only the screen zips across the bottom so you have to close it if you are keen to keep out the crawlies which could get in at the bottom with just the outer door zipped up.
Another more minor point is that the inner tent divider is so transparent it is pointless. For us, this doesn't matter as there are only the two of us but for more than two it could be an issue.
So Vango, just a little adjustment or two will make this an absolute camper's dream! Come on what are you waiting for?
