My soon to be 11 year old daughter wants to have a sleep over with four of her friends. We also have a larger family tent and believe she will soon want a buddy tent of her own. So the tent was bought as a back garden / buddy tent or a weekend away tent with the kids.

For the price I believe this to be a good buddy tent and it has good headroom given the size.

Plenty of ventilation.

Inside the room is light and airy. Usable front porch area - although we have paired it with an adventure tarp.

Easily sleep three adults / five kids.

New for 2013 the Berkeley has a stunning dome shape that is great for extra height. It is a great introductory family tent that is ideal for short breaks away and is cost effective to meet any budget.

Flysheet first or all-in-one pitching
Polyester flysheet; ProTex 3000HH 70D - a durable reliable and waterproof fabric
PE groundsheet - hardwearing and waterproof to 10 000 HH
Breathable polyester 'lights out' inner tents reduce the amount of early morning light allowing a longer sleep.
Vango PowerFlex fibreglass poles - strong light and reliable
All Vango flysheets (excluding Polycotton) and groundsheet seams are factory sealed giving a water tight seal
Rain gutter zip covers divert rain flowing down the flysheet away from the zip
Large Crystal Clear PVC windows for maximum light and great visibility
Inner tent pockets are conveniently positioned and ideal for storing small items
Linked in groundsheet (a registered Vango design) encloses the porch area and protects it from the elements
King pole doors have eyelets at the base which allow them to be canopied out with the addition of accessory poles
Lantern hanging point conveniently placed in the living area or inner tent
Colour coded poles matched with coloured tabs at the entry points of the pole sleeve ensure that the tent is simple to pitch
Pre-angled poles create great headroom and added internal space
Vango Orange guylines are easy to see even in low light conditions
Easy find inner clips are coloured orange to make them simple to find
All our tents are tested within a certified test centre to ensure that they will stand up to even the most extreme weather conditions
Vango AirZone offers high level ventilation at the front and rear of the tent to allow a comfortable and adjustable flow of air
