3 Reviews of the Capri 500 XL Airbeam

I absolutely hate this tent. In sunny and dry weather it is great, But the moment it starts raining forget it. Just pack up and go home. A sieve is more waterproof than this rubbish. We have taken it back 3 times. Keep away from this tent. You have been warned. We are in Weymouth at the moment and watching water coming through the seams.

All camping is a compromise. Whether a £100k camper van towing a little car behind, a twin axle 30 feet caravan with all the show off stuff, or a one person 4 season back pack tent (2kg cost £600), we are all sleeping in a field. Having done or seen all of the above my wife and I (in our 50s) reckon that this Vango hits the spot; well designed, well built, perfectly proportioned and practical. Add the porch door and you have the perfect tent. You don't need to pay more for a quality family tent, buy this look after it and enjoy it for at least the next ten years. We have used it and love it.

Just bought the Capri 500 xl weve used it twice a lot bigger than the Capri 500 plenty big enough for the 2 of us big living room and the porch is great loads of windows lets in plenty of light, the only niggles I found is it seams to be slightly lower spec than other airbeam tents no mesh front door windows curtains are toggle not zip and Vango don't do a fitted carpet its a universal fit but other than that we love it 30 mins all set up

Manufacturer's Description
For those seeking a more spacious and comfortable weekend tent, the Vango Capri XL is the ideal choice. With a 4 beam tunnel tent design supported by four AirBeams®, the Capri XL is a deceptively large tent with great division of space between sleeping, living and outdoor areas. The living area and huge front extension are large enough to entertain the whole family without feeling cramped and are flooded with light by enormous windows on both sides. In comparison the sleeping quarters with their 'Lights Out' inners refuse to let the sunrise dictate your sleeping pattern
