We have just come back from our first camping trip with this tent and putting it up is a dream.We had watched a few YouTube videos which were a great help.

Putting it away took a couple of attempts as the first time we rolled it up it was too long to fit in the bag. Second attempt saw it go in the bag although I'm not sure we did it right (YouTube video night coming up).

The tent is very spacious and bedrooms are already attached. Front porch area is nice to sit in if there is a chilly breeze. We had a small amount of rain and the tent had no leaks. We are going to invest in the skyliner to help protect the top of the tents.

I agree with the previous review regarding the tent bag and that it. Old be made better or from tougher fabric also a little more room in the bag would help for beginners packing it away

The curtains in the main tent are zipped up each side which is better thank Velcro with toggles to fasten when open at the bottom of the window.

We love this tent and would recommend it. Our friends were definitely impressed with how quick and easy it went up

We brought one of these to replace our Vango Amazon 600 which we owned for over 7 years. Choose this tent because of the layout and size.

The holdall is a good size but not very strong and with no wheels it is impossible for me to lift it very far.

Used the tent with the sky liner 3 times this year for about 15 days in total. Have noticed that the material has worn across all of the beams.

Contacted the supplier and has got to go back to Vango to be inspected.

Not a happy camper at the minute.

Update to review having struck camp a few times

- skyliner worth the investment in my experience reduces condensation, also protection from sap and seagulls.

- Guylines (being a grey colour) are easy to miss, I have been swapping them out for blue to match the tent.

- Rear Main tent beam twisted, I have removed the beam and straightened, it seems related to packing away.

- Got the hand of packing everything back in the original bag with room to spare, it does involve rolling around on the floor.

- Universal carpet 'rucks up' very easily and is difficult to keep flat/trip hazard - could do with some corner/edge clips/Velcro.

- be careful when pitching beam that holds main front door, keep it loose across the width of the tent as door will be too tight on zip.

Wishlist item:

- Rain safe brow over side door.

- Side extension/awning in matching colour scheme (they do a green !)

Trial pitch and checkout of delivered Edoras 600XL and accessories.

The tent comes in a holdall style barrel bag, no wheels or skids, it does have over straps to tightened the bag down, it weighs just shy of 30kg I am just able to carry it around over short distances, two people would manage easily.

The footprint comes in a drawstring bag and comprises two pieces, one black main footprint for the tent going under the sleep and living areas, one lighter grey smaller section that would fill the front canopy area.

Once the tent is out of the bag it was easy to identify which way round it should go, was easy to move around and pull into shape ready for inflation. The tent inflated easily enough (its a first for me), the manual pump took around 12 strokes per beam, I took my time but if you were in a hurry I can see it being back breaking work for the taller folk. I was not looking to set a record but took my time and checked everything was okay with no immediate faults.

A few of the pegging lines were put out to help maintain the shape front to back, I did not peg the entire tent out this time as it was just a try out.

Next was to fit on the sun canopy, first zipping the loose material of the canopy onto the front of the main tent, assembling the shock-corded aluminium hoop was easy, threading it was clumsy but will improve with practice ! a few guy lines later and the canopy was up and ready. It makes a excellent addition to the open front of the tent. The pole set has its own draw string bag and the canopy and pole set then fit into another draw string bag.

The sun canopy added about 1.8m to the 6.5m of the main tent.

Final stage was to swap the sun canopy for the front awning, this comes in a similar barrel holdall as the main tent. Unwrapping it all reveal two pieces - the awning and a loose footprint.

Again firstly zipping the loose awning to the zip on the front of the main tent, then inflating the single air beam creates the awning structure. Pegging out the front to form the curved shape to the front windows/door. The front door on the awning has reinforced king pole holes so the whole door can be raised as a sun canopy.

I was pleasantly surprised by the increased floor space. With the front awning fitted the complete length was close to 9m.

Whilst the main tent has zipped curtains the awning has toggle up curtains, so either fully up or down. The fit of the awning again the main tent is similar to other awning/tent combos, apart from the zipped section the guy lines can be positioned to close up the interface between the awning/tent it should be possible to make it so there is no opening or gap.

Overall very pleased with the setup and the quality, could not find any obvious faults given this was just a trial pitch for a few hours or so.

With the exception of the main tent, everything easily packed away and back into their respective bags. The main tent firstly my inexperience in getting out all the air from the beams, finally rolled the whole thing up only to find a few inches wider than the bag, 2nd attempt saw the tent back in the bag but no room for the pump and stuff that was originally rolled up inside the tent, no great shakes as the pump, hose and accessories has its own draw string bag so I'm happy to keep it separate.

The only reasons for not giving a full 10 out of 10.

Toggle curtains in the awning instead of zipped.

Awning fit of sides to main tent (i.E zipped across top, just loose on sides), could of been improved with some clips or toggles, or another zip each side.

Main tent bag could be of better quality/toughness (i.E wheeled or skids), if bag were to be dragged it would tear and split.

Sun canopy label is size of A4 sheet of paper, (see photo) this will probably be cut off with scissors.

I had two or three tents on my shortlist, and have no doubts I have picked the best one/package for my intent use and needs.

The basic tent is easy enough to handle and erect for short weekend stays with an hour. The sun canopy takes about 15 minutes so can be added the following morning. 95% of the time there will be two adults a young teenager and a half-blind dog.

For the longer stays and when the party size is plus two or three the awning can go on, using it for the living space as the main tent will have a pop-up bedroom or two !
