3 Reviews of the Gamma 200

This is my 'go to' tent when weekend or overnight expedition camping with the Scouts. As a leader, I have to make sure the Scouts have their tents put up and that they have a place of shelter in case the weather changes before I put my tent up. This one goes up so quickly it's unbelievable (7 minutes is my record so far) and once it's up it's cozy but surprisingly roomy inside. The low height makes it remarkably sturdy in all but the strongest of winds - even then double pegging the guys solves any issues. Great little tent!

I bought this tent purely for one nighters whilst dog showing, it fitted 2 adults and 2 small dogs.
Its like a tardis doesn't look much from the outside but has ample room on the inside.
I'm a single lady and it took me all of around 15mins to set up if that, very easy to put up.
I had heavy rain on some nights and it withstood those conditions, it was also so so easy to dry off at home being smaller.
For one nighters or short weekends its a great quality tent.

Quite easy to set up (though the instructions don't explain how to use the tensioner mechanism on the guy lines, which took some working out).
Took me around thirty minutes to set up, against their estimate of ten minutes, perhaps would improve with practice.
The tent looks quite nice when set up though you can't stand up in it as it is a low tunnel type.
I was on a motorbike and packed small enough to be easily strapped on the bike. A much better bet than these 'pop-up' tents I was originally considering.
Seemed to do the trick and stayed dry through a heavy rainstorm.
All in all I think it was a worthy purchase.

Manufacturer's Description
A basic but versatile 2 man tent for festivals or backpacking.
The Vango Gamma 200 is a very roomy, 2-berth tunnel style tent.
Extremely simple, quick and easy to pitch, and using Powerflex fibreglass poles, it should take no more than 10 minutes until you''re ready to camp.
The tent has taped seams for extra protection from heavy downpours, and reflective webbing so you can find it at night (or on a crowded site!).
There''s a central lantern hanging point inside, and you could use your walking poles to extend the front door out as a canopy, to give you even more breathing space.
A great basic but versatile tent for festivals or families.
