3 Reviews of the Juno Tepee 300

I bought this as a pup tent for my sons. It is a great little tent, but not very practical for 'real' camping, better for a garden camp.
Pros:
Easily pitched, just peg out and insert the centre pole and guy.
No problems with waterproofing - easily kept out heavy rains and the sewn in ground sheet kept it snug.
The bucket groundsheet unzips at the door to lie flat.
Cons:
We use camp beds and two beds was a very tight squeeze. Even if you suspended the tent and took out the centre pole, there is no way a third bed would fit.
Condensation! Even with all the vents and the open strip along the bottom of the door, when I checked the children after a couple of hours in there the walls were dripping!
Despite this, the boys thought it was great. The gap under the door was not a problem, the flysheet overlaps the ground sheet and if you make sure one of the doors is pegged down it creates a good seal when zipped up.
I paid £35 for mine so great value for money and fun and funky for the kids.

We bought this as a tent for bad weather days. It is great as there is enough room to get dressed nearly standing up and ideal to all sit in a group playing games etc when the sun goes in! Enough room to sleep 2 very comfortably and so quick to put up! Great all rounder and gorgeous colours in the sunlight when you wake!

I bought one for use as a beach tent. I like to spend time on the beach even in the winter, and a good shelter is essential. As a very basic design, there should not be too much to go wrong with this, and in general this is the case. I have used it now during windy rain squalls with no problems. I liked the high and wide door entry, so it's not a hands and knees job to get in and out.
My only problems with this tent are to do with the doors. It's a shame there is no insect netting screen fitted, and the lack of any fastening on the bottom of the doors is also very unusual. They make a big thing about the side wall vents, which by the way can't be closed, but there is already a large venting area, i.E. The doors giving a gap of some 170 cms! This may at first appear a picky comment, but the same problems are included with the larger 500 & 800 versions of this tent. (I also have a Peace 800 version)
I have also now adapted the pitching style of my tent by using a pair of outside A frame style poles, hanging the tent from the outside loop. This frees up the entire inside of the tent for sleeping and equipment, and also allows me to sit in the middle of the tent, rather than to one side or in front of the middle pole. In my opinion, this makes the tent a much more usable package.
I am glad I bought it, and would still recommend it for a quick pitch tent.
