Having once owned a Blacks Lloyd inflatable tent back in the 70s, l had no concerns buying the Vango Kella 3.

I have a Fiat Ducato based Possl 2 Win van, so we had to buy the tall version. I also bought the footprint (essential when pitching on stones) and also bought the inner bedroom so my Daughter, Partner & Granddaughter can stay with us.

The Vango Kella 3 is well made easily erected in 15.Minutes, able to withstand wind & rain. It can accommodate two large chairs and a table. We use picnic rugs as carpet.

It is described as a 'drive away' awning, but we seldom attach it to the van. We do if we know that we are staying put for a few days, on my van it is attached to a Fiamma wind out awning, with the aid of an adapter strip, it's a bit fiddly the first time you use it but it fits snug with the help of the adjuster straps on the awning.

The Zips are well made with access from three sides if required.

There is now a Kella 4 version, this has a small window in the roof as far as l can tell.

It is an excellent awning we have used ours in every month of year so far.

We were a little dubious about buying another Vango 'Airbeam' product, after buying one of the first Vango Airbeam tents about 7 years ago - which was riddled with faults!

However, the salesman at the camping and caravanning store assured us that quality at Vango was now much improved, and this was indeed an awning we should seriously consider.

We had to go for the new 'Low' version as our camper van (Mercedes Benz) has a low roof height (180cm) - and this is suitable for the 'low' model air awning.

Quality is much improved! A nice touch is the inclusion of rock pegs, and not the cheap 'easily bent' tent pegs!

We were very pleased with ease of set up, plenty of securing straps and the layout of the tent windows and fly screens.

The bag in which it's housed is now 'wide mouthed' and makes packing away much easier than before!

No sitting on the deflated tent and squashing all of the air out when packing away either!

We endured rain and a thunderstorm on our first night, and there were no leaks or drips.

Side entrance doors give easy access and this area is not fitted with a sewn in groundsheet. Perfect for muddy shoes which can be taken off before entering the accommodation and carpeted area.

We purchased the appropriate tent carpet, but wished we'd invested in the footprint at the same time as sadly, these seem to be out of stock and unobtainable at the moment.

This air awning has proved to be a big hit for Vango and we can see why. We thoroughly recommend this awning.
