2 Reviews of the Lomond 400

First main tent I have owned for years. Got back into camping and was recommended Vango by family. This is one of the easiest tent's I have ever put up. We also have the optional canopy to extend the front canopy area which makes it more spacious. All our cooking gear is stored in the outer part leaving the rest of the tent roomier. We have no problems sleeping in the bedroom area with a double airbed and sharing the room with a large dog cage. This is a great tent and I would not hesitate to own another

Bought this tent as a quick pitch weekender and it fulfils this brief. It was to replace our Trout Lake 4 which takes us as long to set up as it does our Bear Lake 6. The bedroom area is big enough for us to get our Aerobed in running front to back with a bit of space either side. The living area is cosy. We had a unit at the side and when we brought the 2 chairs in and the table is was quite tight. The pre-attached canopy is very useful. It provided shade from the sun this weekend and would provide some shelter from the rain. It would certainly stop rain getting in the tent as you went in and out. There is just a front door, which has a fly screen, and then air vents below the side windows so there is not a lot of air movement.
Having said all of the above, we are pleased we bought it and will probably get a lot of use out of it.

Manufacturer's Description
The Vango Lomond 400 is a new tunnel tent with the striking feature being the integral canopy around the front doorway which adds a number of benefits. The Vango Lomond 400 is a 4-berth tunnel tent with a bedroom inner curtain than can split the bedroom into a 2+2 configuration - each side having its own entrance door. The breathable inner tent also features the ''lights out'' system which filters out early morning daylight for a more comfortable sleep.
The Vango Lomond 400 is also very quick to pitch courtesy of the colour coded poles which will enable you to instantly recognise the correct pole sleeves they need to be threaded through. The living area is a well proportioned 2.6x2.5m so providing ample living/dining space.
There is a single front entrance to the tent and outside is the large intregral canopy. This canopy is excellent for protecting your front door from foul weather, storing wet gear, shoes and boots or for establishing your main kitchen/cooking area.
The tent has a fully sewn-in polyethylene groundsheet so keeping out drafts and bugs and the interior also benefits from Vango''s TBS (tension band system) - webbing straps that you can deploy to strengthen the tunnel structure in poor weather conditions.
