4 Reviews of the Peace 800 Tepee

I think other reviews really speaks volumes of just how great this tent is!

I, new to camping over the last 5 years have now been through three tents, of which I've reviewed on this site, but I only wish I had brought this one sooner!

As a single parent to 3 children, pitching a tent isn't the easiest of tasks! I have spent many an hour wrestling to peg one side down only to run the the other side before the whole tent flys away and all the poles fall out! The joys!

NOT WITH THIS TENT!

I can single handedly have this tent up in 5 minutes! Much to the disgust of other family's! It is as simple as pegging down the five corners then cloning inside to push up the central pole, come out, fix the guy lines, and there you have it.DONE!

It really is a must for all lone adult campers! Just as simple as a pop up tent, but much quirkier and you can stand up in it! :-)

When we go away we take 4 single air beds, and they fit comfortably around the central pole with plenty of room for bags and toys etc!

There really is no tent I'd rather own!

We have been using this tent as our weekend tent for about a year now. It is very spacious and keeps you nice and warm inside even if it is blowing a cold gale outside.

I have used a Vango adventure tarp as an awning/shelter but found it too small so have opted for a much larger one which I will try out on my next trip. I'll try and get a photo of it.

As with the previous posts there is an issue with the floor sheet at the front, but it hasn't bothered me enough yet to do anything about it.

All in all a very decent tent.

Excellent tent for short family camping trips. I can pitch in 10 minutes on my own. I've fixed the door draught problem by stitching an open ended zip to each door flap and the edge of the groundsheet at the front (and used seam sealer on the stitching). Tried Velcro but it didn't work on a windy site at Easter! I've also cut a footprint groundsheet to fit and a carpet - very cosy!

We use a cotton doormat to catch the drips if the door flaps are wet (the other downside). Vango's new Green Tee has a porch style door but it's only available as a 5-man so far. The tarp idea is a good one - does it work?

Bought this tent for our first ever camping trip and believe me, for someone who has never pitched a tent before in his life, this was a no brainer. The camp stood out in the field (or so I thought) but it was fun. Enough space for 5 people sleeping on each corner of the pentagonal foot print of the tent. We kept the centre of the tent to keep our stuff piled up. Had a vango 48 led hanging light that attached to the pole in the middle and provided us enough light for the poker night when it was raining.

It is good enough for heavy rain, strong wind and low temperature, we were good inside although their is an issue with the floor sheet at the front, it doest stand up and lets in the cold breeze, I figure out I will have to improvise next time with duct tape or some string to keep it standing.

This time around, I am adding a vango adventure tarp to the package and it will be useful to create a shelter at the entrance if it rains.

Overall, one good roomy tent, no problems so far. Cant wait to go out next week for our and enjoy it all over again.
