2 Reviews of the Solaris 600

After a long internet search of other inflatable tents, I crossed a good offer in december. 370 pounds for a 2015 Vango Solaris 600 in the ebay tent of world of outdoors. Very good service. They replaced the pump that was a little damaged.

The tent measures 4.7 m x 3.8, and 6x3.8 m with the porch, wich is great for some small pitches there are in Spain. With the guylines no more than 8mx6m. The weight is 20 kg, so I can carry by myself on short distances. The bag is 70x38x38, that is very big but not enormous like other inflatable tents. It is the limit for my car.

Great big inner room for four. It allows to sleep in any directions if there are uneven pitches. The divider doesn't provides intimacy with the kids so we retired it.

It is nice a so high tent and inner room. You can dress yourself confortably in the inner tent.

The living area is 160x360 aprox plus two corners for the luggage and the porta potti.

Cons: just one mosquito netting in the side door and no pelmet pockets in the living room. I made a DIY hanging closet as you can see in the photos.

The best: the porch. Shadow at midday when sun makes unliveable the inside and protection for dinner.

Pitching and unpitching is fast and confortable. Inflatable tents are the future for camping tents.

Excuse me for my english.

Brilliant, cannot fault tent at all, takes wind & rain very well. Easy to pitch, spacious well designed, would highly recommend. Vango have developed a new more effective AirSpeed Valve system with easy access positioning so that you can inflate your AirBeam with even less effort. The flysheet and the inner go up together for simplicity and speed - these cleaver people at Vango think of everything.

The TBS II – Tension Band System which is only available on Vango tents enable you to stabilise the tent in stronger winds. On calm days the bands tuck neatly away.

Manufacturer's Description

The Vango Solaris 600 Tent is a six-person tent with huge amounts of living space but, despite its size it's extremely easy to pitch thanks to Vango's AirBeam technology. Instead of traditional poles, the Solaris uses a series of inflatable beams, so you just need to peg out the ends and pump it up.

The sturdy structure is given extra stability by Vango's TBS II Tension Band System: a series of internal bracing straps which can be clipped into place when the wind picks up, but rolled away if not needed.

For reliable weather protection, Vango have used ProTex 70 denier polyester for the flysheet; this durable, waterproof fabric is exclusive to Vango. For extra peace of mind, all the seams are fully taped.

At the front of the Solaris there's a large, ready-attached sun canopy, so you can enjoy comfortable al fresco dining, or simply while away the afternoon relaxing in the shade.

The Diamond Clear windows make the inside of the tent a light, airy space and if you need to zip the two large doors closed against the bugs at twilight, then the side door is equipped with mosquito netting, so the tent stays comfortably ventilated.

To provide sleeping comfort for up to six campers, the inner tent uses breathable polyester 'Lights Out' fabric so unwanted light doesn't creep into the bedrooms and wake you up too early.

Spacious, well featured and superbly easy to pitch, the Vango Solaris 600 is all about making your camping holiday enjoyable and relaxing.
