2 Reviews of the Talos 400

A good all round tent for 2 people,

It's a bit tight with a double airbed but with 2 camp beds it's good,

The porch is the tallest part of the tent to stand up in and well sealed, 2 large windows with covers, fully enclosed against the weather and creepy crawlies,

The inner tent ( light's out as they call it) is not much darker than the outer tent so I don't know how they can say it's darker, yes it is a bit darker but not much,

Stood up to a wet windy weekend at Southport with no issue's,

If you take a small carpet and use it just inside the door it keeps the porch dry and somewere to keep your footwear.

Bought this in the Go Outdoors winter sale 2016/17 with a plan for it to be our festival tent. The build quality is okay the windows are big and putting it up is simple with just three poles. It is a perfect space for two but would be really cramped with 3 or 4. The tent withstood some heavy rain and winds on our first outing with it, and dried out quickly when the sun came out. The Gothic arch poles are supposed to make it more stable and it did seem to hold up well. The pegs that came with it are flimsy and I use my own set of rock pegs and ground anchors. The only downsides with this tent are that the front door and bedroom door zips are not two way and there is no mesh screen door, which limits your ventilation options so it was a bit sweaty. It's a good value for money no frills entry level tent. I have since sold it on to my sister in law as my OH prefers cotton/polycotton, and it has served her well too, so it is not a cheap throwaway.
