1 Reviews of the Turini 200

By: Blinxter  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2014   Rating:

I've been looking for a decently weighted tent which I could possibly fit my motorbike into for some time, boom, along come Vango with this little stunner. Lighter than any porches tents I have found by far with specific design tweaks especially for bikers (such as poles which collapse down to fit perfectly into a standard sized motorbike pannier - very clever)

After the first pitch hooking the inner and ground sheets in, it is a simple up in one pitch (as long as you don't unhook them all when packing), doors galore and bags of space, bedroom easily takes a double air bed with side on access giving a corridor type stowage area aside from the main 'garage' area which if not used to store the bike in during inclement weather, affords a very spacious and practical living area.

The only grip I have is that the fly sheet sits a fair way off the floor/ground sheet, which doesn't provide the best of comfort in windy conditions but a light breeze is barely noticeable.

All in all, if this tent was stolen, lost or abducted by aliens, I would definitely replace it with the same model again.

One piece of advice I will add.

I had a pole snap on me and nowhere carries suitable replacements. Before you head out I would suggest buying a spare pole for each of the two sizes (around £20 each online) and carrying these with you just in case - I will be doing this with all tents in future but thought it may be helpful

Manufacturer's Description

New for 2014, the Turini is designed with cycling and motor bike touring in mind. Turini features a separate, full height, drive in 'garage' which will hold a motor bike or multiple cycles, with plenty of space for changing and storing kit. The tent poles will fit standard pannier bags making the Turini perfect for trips with the bike and kit intensive weekends under the stars.
