7 Reviews of the Vista 600 DLX
By: Camping Swede Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2001 Rating:
Big tent. Tall enough to stand in. Choice of three entrances. There is LOADS of room for our family of 4 - space to sleep and have baggage and 'living' space too. Think it would take a family of 6.
Was quite easy to put up but took 2 of us nearly an hour first time - instructions were pretty poor. Bought for a bargain on Gumtree - a bit of wear & tear but seems to have been well used and still lasted well. Definitely glad to have this tent.
We got some leaks in rain from the door opening toggles. Bedrooms have sewn in ground sheet but living area does not - was a bit drafty (very cold, wet & windy August Bank Holiday) - but was very glad to be able to get inside to eat and sit at end of day. Straps for the TBS were in awkward positions.

Massive tent with three inners. Tall enough to stand in. Spacious enough for family to live in. Choice of three entrances which is great for getting sun at different times of day or avoiding wind.
Easy to erect but takes 3 of us beginners nearly an hour! Used it 3 times so far and still not got it perfect.
Bought for a bargain on ebay- only previously used 5 times, spotless in perfect condition.
Our zips leaked in rain because we hadn't closed the flap. We'll learn!

Massive tent. We started with a Tigris 400DLX which was big but with small bedrooms.Only upgraded to an 800DLX now and it's like a Marquee. Can't wait to use it. Only trouble is It's just slightly too big for my garden as I want a practice run before pitching it on site. I think with the weather we're having we need massive living space so is the perfect tent for our family of four. It's nice to know that we have room for guests to come camping with us.

Excellent tent, so easy to pitch, massive amount of room. We have been away for weekends with two families inside. It has never leaked and has withstood very high winds and stormy weather. It was a bargain from go outdoors and was a little concerned that it wouldn't be great quality but as it was made by Vango thought it would be worth the risk. And it certainly didn't let us down

We have owned this tent for 9 years now and have never regretted purchasing it. We use only one bedroom, leaving plenty of room for sitting around a table and eating inside if the weather necessitates it. The ten also survived a force 7 or 8 storm last year near St David's Head in Pembrokeshire which left many other tents in tatters. The tent was totally intact and weather tight. The only repairs we have had to make is to replace a number of fibreglass pole sections. The only other issue is that the roof is just a little low to stand up straight if you are of more than average height.

I have owned this tent particular tent for about 7 years, and its still in great condition after numerous camping trips. The spares are easy to get hold of if required, and easy to repair. Its not too big and, as a consequence is fairly quick and easy to erect. It takes me about 25 minutes to set up. All in all, it’s been a tremendous purchase. I would buy the same again if they still made this version.
Always go for a Vango though!

A fantastic family Tent. I've owned this for a couple of years now and we love it. It's pretty straight forward to pitch, and I've managed to put it up on my own. There is LOADS of room for our family of 4 with loads of 'living' space too. Have used it at various Canoe events and I can fit a 4 metre kayak in as well.
The tensioning (TBS) system means that this tall tent stands rigid even in some strong winds blowing of the Irish sea.
If you can find one then you wont be disappointed!
