4 Reviews of the Woburn 500
By: Mike a samson Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2015 Rating:
I bought this as a smaller tent to our Vango icarus 800.
As with all Vangos the size is small, ie 8 berth = 6 berth. So I never expected it to be 5 man, and it's not.
3 people or 2 people and 2 rats would be fine. Nice airy with front and one side opening, well made. Ok to put up by one person. You need a carpet in the living area, but at 3.0 by 2.5M it's boilerplate standard and many makers have this size of carpet, so bargains are there to be found in all the usual places. Over all, nice tent for short brakes with all the family, or, longer brakes with fewer folk.

This tent is great for two adults for a good camping holiday of a week or more but we have managed for two or three nights with our three teenagers as well. We also bought a porch which is great for additional cooking and storage space when the whole family is there. The only negative is that I wish the front opening panel also had a fly screen sewn in.

This tent is a really good size for a few nights away with the family. Two adults would be really comfortable for much longer. It is quick to erect and easy to pack away. Inside there is plenty of living room space for a table and chairs. We also have the front porch which gives loads of extra space for cooking equipment etc. The single bedroom also has a panel which can be clipped up to split it into two areas. It would be a struggle to fit 5 air beds in side by side although 5 roll mats would probably fit.

The tent is really easy to put up and take down. There is a great built-in ground sheet. There are hooks to make sure the sleeping area doesn't move. There is a big bag so that you don't have to battle to get the tent back in. It's supposed to be for 5 people, but is a bit snug if you have blow-up mattresses in the sleeping compartment.
