Had this tent for about 3? seasons. I got the Mark ll L

Pennine way , Cumbria way , part of two moors way, Hadrian's wall, Cleveland way part off west highland way.

I like it although think little bit heavy, but ok really compared to price

This is for two people comfortable fit and you can sit cross leg in tent. On a sleep mat.

I like both doors at each end so it open both ways. One for both our bergans and boots the other getting in and out and cooking. And you can change view

You can release the ground sheet , un clip it then no problem with stove. Cookin inside with double zip top of door can be opened to let steam out

Line over head to hand small light.

Best part my previous tent was good for warm weather, but cooler in cold weather.

This tent we are all toastie and if too warm all doors can open for nice views. It hold the heat, in morning wake up and its warmer than previous tent. I find can be too hot in summer. Best two person tent

Side pocket both ends. Really really easy to pitch as one so when raining goes up so easly as well as striking camp easy to big plus. I do not like inner first style tent but this is all in one.

I use tyvek for extra ground sheet from ebay

I have owned this tent for about twelve years and have always found it to be rock solid (with 4 guy lines) the combinations of zips and mesh or solid doors gives multiple options for ventilation. The vestibules are great for storing gear and cooking. Just don't try using it for backpacking. You can erect the tent in a flash and it can be struck in no time. I found the footprint to be essential.

I have had 2 of these tents - the first one was a moss green colour and was going very well 4 or 5 years into ownership until stolen from my car back in 1999, so replaced it with the petrol coloured one.

This one has had a minor issue with the seaming to the very top of the tent not being 100% waterproof, but with repair by Vaude direct, and later advice from Vaude, it has been solved and here we are some 10 or so years later and I'm still a very happy camper in this tent.

It goes up in a flash, even in force 10 gales, and has been one of only a very few still standing in exposed Gloucestershire campsites when the wind and rain has torn others' tents from the ground and flung them, ripped and leaking, over to the next field!

I have a variety of tents in the loft to choose from for my camps - a Royal La Rochelle, a huge canvas bell/teepee tent, and a large SunnCamp dome tent (my husband's tent) that now leaks badly just about everywhere after 10 years service - but I always find I choose this one when it's just me and my gear in the tent.

It fits fine into my motorbike trailer, and has in the past fitted well on the back seat of the bike.

I would say that whilst it's said to be a 3 man tent, in reality it's only big enough for me, my kit, and maybe the dog - it'd be OK for 3 people who really knew each other very well, didn't mind really close snuggling together at night, and didn't have much kit. But for me, overall, 10 out of 10 - I'd buy this again if needed, but anticipate a good few more years of service yet from this one.

Having already got a Vaude space and a space 2, we decided to get another Vaude so that our children didn't have to share. We really like having the doors both ends and the ventilation that this tent gives - much less stuffy.

We camped in strong winds last weekend and were very cosy. The bunjee arrangement for the poles is very satisfying (even our 3 year old likes pinging them off when it is time to take the tent down).

Our 18 year old Vaude Space has finally got a hole along the pole socket, so we're hoping that the poles being on the outside will be an advantage it that respect.

We love Vaude tents - very fast to put up and take down. This is our favourite.

This is a simply awesome tent. Pitches in no time, seriously 2 minutes and it's up (it is a work of genius!), and is rock solid in all weather. The 4 entrances means you can always get out on the other side to the wind/rain. My only complaint (hence not 10) would be that the porch areas are not really very big so storing stuff overnight can be a bit of a nuisance but it's no major problem. Also it would be kinda cramped for 3 people I think.

We did have a problem with ours where the groundsheet hadn't been treated properly and it let in water, also the thingy (?) that holds the poles together broke, but Vaude to their credit replaced everything with no quibbles and it has been fine since.

If you need a quick pitch tent that is sturdy in all weather and is comfortable enough to sit up in and make a brew in the porch then you can't go much wrong with this. I'd probably get the light version if I bought again since the standard version is kinda heavy (and quite big) to lug around on your back.

Bought this for my son to do backpacking on Dartmoor in all weathers. This tent is as safe as houses! Proven rock solid in wind, rain, hail, snow and maybe even sun. Enough room for three large teenagers plus rucksacks, boots etc. Goes up v.V. Quickly in one after a long day's walking and no fiddly pole threading to be done. Ours has always been used with the special footprint, which seems well worth the little extra expense. The only reason I haven't given it ten out of ten is that you can get slightly lighter tents to do this job, which is important for gram counters, but I don't know if they'd do as good a job for you. Highly recommend.

I've owned a Vaude Mark II for over 10 years, and it's a fantastic tent for 2/3 people who just need to be able to sit up. Porches at both ends, with doors in both directions at both ends (4 in other words), so you can open according to wind and rain direction. It pitches in about 2 minutes (honestly), all-in-one, and I've had it out in snow, pouring rain and 90 mile an hour winds without problems. It's been the only tent left standing in a campsite of hardened climbing types. We use one porch for storing the bags and the other for boots/shoes and getting in and out. And the breakfast fry up if the weather is awful. Check it out.
