I bought this tent for solo cycle touring as it seemed to be a good balance between space and price / weight. I found it easy to put up and take down, had lots of space inside for one and all my dry stuff, whilst wet stuff was left in the porch. Mine came with a footprint (under-groundsheet) which I found very good as it extended to include the porch and kept the sewn in groundsheet clean and fairly dry, whereas the footprint never dried out for my whole 30 day tour.
I have no regrets about getting a tent this size for solo use, but it would probably be fine for 2 people in good weather, or if they had less stuff to accommodate!

The Terratrio 3P is the perfect size tent for 2 people with gear. I think 3people would be a bit of a squeeze.
It is very easy to put up, only 5mins!
The porch area is one of the best features. It's just the right size to put dirty shoes and your cooking stuff in and still allowing plenty of porch area.
Only thing I would change is extending the groundsheet to include the porch area.

Manufacturer's Description
The Terradome 3P UK is constructed in the same way as the Taurus II, using the same pole. The Porch is a 60% larger design with a squred off profile. The fabric is a new specification with a hexagonal ripstop effect.
