1 Reviews of the Camplite 5
By: Silvercamp pod Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2008 Rating:
We finally accepted that with 3 kids we needed a bigger tent than a backpacking style. Was torn between this and the Khamsin but the latter being out of stock helped made our minds up. Easy enough to put up once you've had a practice, though there's a tricky moment where you need to peg a couple of guys to hold it whilst the poles are up, helps to have 2 people. We've kept the inner bedrooms attached if dry so can go up as 'all in one'. Bedrooms roomy but not at the compromise of less living space. Windows a nice touch, as are inside pockets in lounge and bedroom. We used spare poles from an old tarp to create a porch but I believe these are available as an extra. Two doors, either at the front or to the side. Good head height too.

Manufacturer's Description
The Wild Country Camplite 5 is about as close to perfect as a lightweight family or base camp tent can get. Pitching flysheet first makes setting up a breeze, and the 2 bedrooms can be attached or removed independently to create extra room for storing kit. Large windows on either side let in daylight, with one doubling as a vent to improve air circulation, and access can be gained via the large end door or smaller side entrance (awning poles sold separately). The living area has it's own removable groundsheet, and mud walls help to prevent draughts making the Camplite 5 more comfortable should the weather dictate that you remain indoors! All in all a fantastic tent for anyone looking to sleep up to 5 people.
