3 Reviews of the Avocet 6
By: Nedsden Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2008 Rating:
We bought this tent in a sale for £240 and are very pleased with it.
It is straightforward to put up but I think the manufacturer's suggestion of it taking 20 minutes is a bit optimistic! The living space is very roomy and it has a nice high roof in all areas. The small canopy at the front also provides a nice sheltered area outside the tent.
There are 2 sleeping compartments, one of which divides into two to give a total of three bedrooms. It would be a tight squeeze to get 6 people into the bedrooms as the smaller ones only have room for a small double airbed. It was fine for us as we only had a single airbed in each of the two smaller bedrooms, and a double airbed in the larger bedroom.
The tent is very easy to take down and doesn't take long at all.
All in all a nice large tent at a good price.

We recently bought this tent and so far are very impressed with it. It is quite easy to erect, all colour coded, although we haven't managed to do it in 20 minutes yet! We bought this tent because we liked the size of the living space where you can cook etc. In bad weather. With our old tent we had to take a gazebo too, just so we would have somewhere to cook and eat. Two of the bedrooms are attached and have a zipped partition between them. We didn't realise when we saw it that the bedrooms were different sizes. Our airbed only fits in one of the bedrooms as it is a deluxe and not a standard. But this is not a big problem for us as there is only us and the two kids. With the tent we also bought the footprint groundsheet which made erecting the tent even easier. If you follow the groundsheet you can't get the poles out of line.
I am now looking forward to lots more camping trips this season!

Friend of mine has this tent and from what I saw when we went away together this is a very big, roomy tent. It was just her and her 2 children that erected and took down the tent and she had no problems. We were all very impressed with the tent. Thumbs up to Wynnster tents.
