4 Reviews of the Buzzard 4

A tried and trusted friend. After 20 years of intermittent use, it is about to be replaced.

Fairly easy to pitch, and has withstood some of England's wettest weather. Used in conjunction with a two-man tent, the living space was large enough for a family of 6 (small children only). Good head height in the living area.

Sleeping areas are adequate, but if you are over 6 foot, you may find them a bit confined.

The tent is well made and very stable and watertight, however the doors are not fully zipped which allows water ingress in bad weather. Big enough for 2-3 with 4 persons and gear you will struggle. The living area is compact but it is easy to pitch. The plastic hooks that attach the bedrooms to the tent are flimsy and I managed to snap 3. The two doors can be opened and allows air flow in hot weather. All in all not a bad tent but small for a 4 person capacity.

We find this very easy to put up. In fact it can be pitched single handed but it is easier with two. When we bought it both it was for me, hubby and my son. However lately it is just myself and my hubby. I have to say that it is a great sized tent for the two of us.

Plenty of headroom, bedroom pods big enough for the airbed.

The groundsheet is a little bit short but as long as you peg it down with the bedroom inners it doesn't do too bad a job. Once the picnic rugs are down its all fine!

Suits us grand for a weekend or a longer stay.

Fairly simple and quick to put up. The ground sheet though seems a little short in width and in the damp it often slid out from under the bedrooms leaving a gap for the inevitable mud! the flysheet is a bit awkward to fold away and pack, and there are parts of it that are difficult to clean. Decent enough tent for a family of four though and has served us well.
