6 Reviews of the Condor Plus

This tent has been absolutely perfect for our (growing) family over the years and is of a style and type that you just can't seem to get any more. Circular(ish) footprint means it fits inside a 5m by 5m square which is an issue on some campsites.

3 bedrooms have seen various combinations of travel cot, side-by-side and head-to-toe sleeping, and is great to not have to put all the rooms up to give you extra living space if one of the family isn't there!

Not being a sewn-in groundsheet makes it cooler in hot weather (wishful thinking in this country unfortunately!) and safer (ventilation) while the bathtub groundsheet of the rooms gives that sense of security and keeps you dry.

It's wearing extremely well - fabric good as new, just 2 broken poles and elastic shockcords - but older family means we're moving on to other things.

I have owned this tent for 10 years and have used many times by myself and family and friends. Great space inside tent and you can choose to not put up all the bedroom pods to give more space. Has withstood all weathers and never had any leaks or any other problems. As with other reviews only downside is the sloping roof in the corners which prohibits the use of large storage cabinets.

Very easy to erect

Brilliant family tent that has had a great deal of use from this family of four. Plenty of room in the sleeping pods and still enough room in the main body to put a table and chairs if necessary. No room to cook inside but then I really wouldn't want to from a safety aspect, although once the porch is up you could cook under that. Very easy and quick to put up and take down. Can easily be done by two people unlike some of the newer larger tents. Very pleased with it

This has been a brilliant family tent. There is 4 of us and we have room to store everything, although most of it is at the foot of my sons bed unless the kids share a bedroom then there is a free bedroom so loads of room to store everything and room to get changed in.

It has withstood some severe wind and rain and has never budged or leaked. Good sturdy tent.

Poles are colour coded and it is easy to set up. The groundsheet is separate but clips to the outer tent. The 3 bedroom pods hook to the outer tent and clips to the groundsheet so they don't move anywhere.

The front entrance part is big enough for our kitchen area to stay (to the side of entrance) and cook if weather isn't good. We use opposite side for coolbox, shoes, kites and kids toys. Plenty of inner pockets in the tent and bedrooms.

Inside is spacious and large enough for my 6'2' husband to stand in without difficulty. We have a table and 4 chairs in the middle and have enough room to get to things still.

The only downside is that the groundsheet is separate so it can get quite draughty compared to tents with sewn in groundsheets.

P.S I don't know how old our tent is because we inherited it.

Excellent family tent - 1st one we bought. It looks as good now as it did new, wearing very well. Surprisingly spacious tent (we have 2 teenage children), good headroom in lounge (central area). Only downside no space to cook inside if the weather is iffy - hence I am looking for a porch/awning to match/fit it if anyone can suggest one.

This tent is very good as it is rounded so it is less affected by wind. It can also withstand strong wind and rain, and there is some space for storage. It is also very easy to set up as the poles are colour coded and it's not complicated. The poles are also extremely strong and the elastic too, only once has the elastic broken in the 6-ish years we've had it. It's very cosy too and looks good! The only disadvantages are that as the roof slopes, it is hard for storage such as fold-away camping wardrobes near the edge as there is not enough height. Also, as the ground sheet is not attached to the sides, if you have a dog it could get away under the sides. On the other hand, the space in the middle is large and the bed-areas big too, though maybe a bit small depending on how much stuff you have with you!
