5 Reviews of the Faro 5

By: Addy01  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2011   Rating:

I bought this tent as an up grade from Faro 4, much bigger, taller can stand up straight in this (5'11')great. Sleeps 5,2&3 but we have moved divider to have one big area, for double folding bed. Great.

Can withstand really bad weather conditions/waterproof brilliant tent. Easy to put up. Tent doors could do with zips all the way round to prevent dogs getting heads poking out or high winds blowing through that's only draw back on this tent.May want or need a slightly bigger one if staying longer trips or more people, but ideal for us two & two dogs.

The weekend we used it the weather was very wet and windy but the inner was very warm.We used the smaller bedroom for storage and a toilet tent as we were only 2 of us & a dog We had to cook indoors because of the weather but we had plenty of room even with a large dog

The tent didn't take long to erect all though it was raining & it was our first time we had put it up.We had to take it down soaking wet but it dried out very quickly on the washing line next day.My husband is 6ft but he had plenty of head room It was also very light for its size and strength

This was the first time of use, very easy to erect even in a storm, from stopping the car to cup of tea about an hour.

Taking down in winds of 60mph, and very heavy rain quite a task but no problems with tent itself.

Very roomy especially as theres only two of us.

Would have liked more pegging points on the front door area.

Would recommend this tent.

The tent is really easy to put up, took 20 minutes without instructions with an 18 month old running riot so that slowed us down a bit!

The bedroom is huge if used as one, we fitted 2 double airbeds in with room to spare. If you used the divider though I dont think it would sleep 5 like it says, unless you used mats instead of airbeds. I like the way the mesh is only at the top half of the bedroom doors, it allows enough air in but also gives you privacy too.

The living space was lovely when the front door was used as a canopy, providing loads more space to store things. If it was to rain and at night it was a bit cosy though and probably could do with being slightly bigger, but still fitted a camp kitchen, 3 chairs and a storage unit in with enough room to walk round.

The quality of the tent is really good, nice waterproof material, built in groundsheets in flyscreen and the bedrooms. I love this tent to bits and would recommend to anyone.

We bought this tent as a weekender rather than use our Bear Lake 6. The first time we used it we found it pretty easy to erect (took about 15 mins). We had bought it with the intention of using the 3 berth pod for us and the 2 berth for our daughter but discovered that it only had an unzipped curtain dividing the pods, so we got daughter a pop-up tent and had the bedroom to ourselves so it was very spacious. Our only gripe with the tent was that there is no zipped mesh on either door, the bedroom pod material is so thin you can see through it and the front door really needs some velcro and a pegging point to make it more secure in the wind, other than that we're happy to use the tent for a weekend as it kept out the rain we had and survived the wind we had. Our friend also bought the same tent in a different colour and they were happy with it too and for £99 you can't go wrong
