Still using my Pegasus , its getting a bit tired now though, I go camping a hell of a lot each year and even in the gales last year where a lot of newer more expensive tents were blown to bits, the Pegasus survived, just. Have loved the tent and will be sorry to get rid of it this year, . Only downside is the separate groundsheet, im getting too old for draughts so thats why im getting rid of it and going for a warmer tent. Served me very well for 7 years.

Easy to pitch, very quick with two people. Large living area, plenty of height even in the bedrooms.

We have camped in strong winds and heavy rain and have had no problems with leaks or damage.

On a hot day you can open up the side doors and completely roll back the front panel so that it is like sitting in a gazebo.

You know you have a good tent when other campers comment on how much space you have.

We had the camp kitchen, two tables, a storage cupboard and the fridge etc and still had enough room for four people to sit comfortably round the table.

This is a great family tent.

Having bought this tent in 2005 and used it once (been using a Vango Omega 350 in the meantime), we unearthed it from the attic and went camping with it this weekend.

Its a great tent. I haven't seen a tent with a bigger living area than this and the sleeping compartments are roomy (although it would have been better if it was split 3/3 rather than 4/2).

Its easy to put up and drop by two people. It withstood 30mph winds with only one guy rope coming out when all the other big tents in the campsite broke. Will be using it again and I can't see us replacing it for a long time.

Love this tent. Paid £110 for the Pegasus 6 in 2007 never used it for 2 years but have used it 4 times this year 2009. Up in one hour, very stable in the wind and water tight. No LEAKS. Great. And that was in the Lake District.

One thing mind, The poles are a but iffy. On the second outing the tent was great but when we dismantled the tent two poles had snapped or should I say split the full length to the metal sleeve. Just taped then together for the third outing and they were fine. Getting replacements for 2010.

I absolutely love this tent - bought earlier this year for a very good £139 as a replacement for our previous cheap and cheerful family tent that I was unable to stand up in. This tent has bags of room for both sleeping and living. With the camp kitchen set up, table and four chairs (and visitors dog), there was still plenty of room, it did not feel cramped at all.

The porch on the living area is great as protection for either sun or rain. We were able to keep the door open in the rain and stayed dry.

The tent was easily erected by me, my 15 year old daughter and 11 year old son, although it was a bit heavy holding up the inside, the poles went in easily enough and the sensible flat topped pegs meant that the ground sheet was firmly secured with no pegs to trip on.

We had all the weather that a British camping holiday could throw at us, yet the tent stood firm against heavy wind / rain and did not leak. We all stayed cosy and dry.

If I have any criticism of this tent, it is that the guy lines are dark, but this is easily and cheaply remedied with the addition of luminous guy lines.

In summary, a great tent at a great price, well worth considering.

We bought our pegasus 6 as a quick replacement for our small vango tent which we had grown out of. First trip out to Wales and it was not as bad as I thought to put up, the reviews are correct that it needs two people to erect as it is a very large and heavy unit. Once up the space in the living area was huge, we only used one side, the smaller sleeping area made a perfect storage place for all our travelling boxes and bags. As we went to Wales it got wet pretty quick, we had a small leak around the door seams but put this down to it not being sealed, we got some seam sealer and it stopped. All in all a good tent, can still be picked up pretty cheap even now in 2009.

Oswald Bailey are now selling one very similar but called a Fiesta 6SE - slightly lighter colours.

Available for £149 ! A bargain price as the living area is larger than an Outwell Montana 6

As stated before, ideally needs two people to erect.

You can now buy these tents for 149 pounds.

I still have mine and other than still wanting to upgrade to the Phoenix to get a SIG I think it's great.

We used it over the May half term and it stood up to some pretty strong gusty winds.

We can now easily put it up or down within a hour without rushing - that's all of the pegs possible.

Have owned one of these tents for a couple of years and love it, easy to erect once you get the hang of it and like the other comments I would say to have one of you to get inside and hold up the dome (normally me), only takes us half hour.

The living space is fantastic, plenty of room for a camping kitchen, table, 4 chairs, a dog pen and still enough room for two children to play on the floor. Very light and airy from the combination of windows and doors. Would benefit from a 'sig' but this really is not a problem.

The tent has been well and truly weather tested by us when we have been unlucky to get some heavy rain (and thunder and lightning), strong winds and even some snow and it has never given us any leaks or damage. And when we have been lucky enough to get some lovely sun the tent can act like a gazebo with all the doors open.

In my opinion this is a really fantastic family tent and I would recommend anyone to get one.

It would have got 10 out of 10 from me if it had the sig, but still a brilliant tent.

We own one of these tents and purchased it as one of our friends had the same tent. A great tent, a little fiddly to put the main done up as the poles cross and someone has to go in the middle to push the centre up.

But once up it is a fantastic tent, loads of space and the three doors off the main living area are really useful.

We usually have the main front door as just that, the main door, but open a side flap to cook breakfast in a morning, the stove on a table fits neatly to one side under a door.

I have replaced all the guys with reflective luminescent guys now but that is just becasue of kids running round the tent at night, I think the newer version of this tent comes with them already on.

This version of the tent does not have a fixed in ground sheet and I think it would benefit from being fixed, just like the next years model. The only disadvantage then is that there is a 6' piece of ground sheet to step over every time you come into the tent.

I haven't had a problem with the high winds, keep the guys taught and the fabric stretched and it should stand up to almost anything.

Lots of people have seen this tent up and commented how good it looks and are amazed by the size of living area - it's great for two adults and one or two children.

Two airbeds fit perfectly in the large compartment with about 12' each side for walking or clothes.

I won't be changing this tent for a while **********
