2 Reviews of the Pharaoh 4
By: GILL OHARE Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2007 Rating:
We have just bought this tent on ebay for £108, excellent tent. Quite easy to put up if you are taller than me, I'm 5ft, I couldn't reach the ceiling to attach the bedrooms, hubby had to do that. Front and back door has a flap at the bottom, not a zip all the way around so the wind and draught still blows in, very high, roomy, spacious tent, I love it.

I had not seen this tent erected I bought it online after seeing it on a thread on here,it was reduced dramatically, being last years model, but knowing Wynnster have a good reputation and it was a great size I ordered it.
We immediatly went away in it and with much trepedition set to work putting it up,it was so much easier then we expected the poles are well marked and the roof poles slid in the sleeves with ease, the only part that was a little hard was slotting the poles into the holes on the webbing straps at the bottom, the tension was quite tight and certainly between the two of us we worked up quite a sweat!
Once upright with all the poles in position it pegged out very easily, being a tunnel it just made its own shape,no pulling or distorting, and as it has a full sig once pegged out it was finished, took us about 40 mins but it was our first time and Im sure will get much quicker.
A very roomy tent with 2 seperate hanging bedrooms just big enough for a double airbed each, quite an odd layout as the bedrooms hang along the side of the tent rather at the end which is more typical, personally I really like it this way as you have an L shape living area which gives you a great area away from main living area to set up kitchen or wardrobes or just storage, plenty of room in rest of living area for table and chairs.
There are six very large windows, all with toggles curtains, one of which is at the end of one of the bedrooms and said bedroom has a zip opening to it so you can lie in bed and look outside!
Two large doors each end of the tent, and a smaller door on the side which can be used as an awning and also has a seperate full mesh door to keep out bugs.
The large door on the front is set back leaving a fair sized canopy suitable for cooking and leaving out boots and shoes,no groundsheet in this area as it is outside, this door has a 4 way zip allowing you to have just the top open for ventilation or use either side as a door or zipping the whole door off completly, the back door zips fully open with toggles to keep it out of the way.
We had torrents of rain and had not a single drop in the tent,it was a little windy but it didnt affect the stability.
It comes in a large bag on wheels so even though its heavy due to the poles being steel its easy to manouver about and the poles are in a seperate bag so you can split apart from the main bag if necessary,it also packed back up very easily.
A very nicely made and finished tent perfect for couples wishing to have a lot of space or a small family.
