5 Reviews of the Pharoah 6

We bought our tent last year so I have put 2008 as year of manufacture. We used it for the first time for five days at the end of April. It was all we expected from it, Large loads of space. There were no leaks during the couple of nights heavy rain and wind. The only real complaint with it is the lack of pegging down and guy points for the back end. It has a large single panel at the back, which tore at the pegging point, as this takes the full force of any wind. I will use some Tenacious tape to repair this problem, and it will probably better then than when made, as I will run it in both directions, also adding a couple of Clingons either side over the top of Tenacious tape again. I will also be adding extra guy lines to the front and rear end poles. They have large frames to spread the load, but then attach the guys to a two inch bit of fabric to take all the strain, a common feature of a lot of tents. I will fit the extra guys direct to the frame at the top corner so the frames take the loading. As manufactured, all the tension to hold the tent lengthways is placed on three fabric points not the frame, strange.

All in all a good tent if there is not too much wind.

We owned one of these tents and used it twice. The first time was on a very sunny weekend in June, the tent received lots of comments on the size, and we could not fault the space. We then used it again in August, very wet and very windy. It is not advisable to pitch this tent in the wind as it ripped and the poles bent. It leaked, it flapped, basically it was so badly damaged upon return we had to skip it!

Top tent if you have a large family or just like space get this. So easy to put up can put this tent up in same time as my 4 man tent. We take a trailer with us on holiday and it fits inside tent with lots of room left for table and chairs and stove. We have 4 kids and im 6ft 4in and I can stand up in any part of it.only thing is in high season some sites don't let tents on that are so big but a lot do just find out before you go.if you get one of these you will have many hours of happy camping with the size of a static caravan 110% recommended

I love this tent ,simple to put up and take down. We had the biggest tent on the site. So much room (we had 2 adults and 3 kids) if anything it was a bit too big! Can't wait to use it again in August. Highly recommended.

Fab tent easy to put up and take down, in about 45 mins. Spacious, great for kids plenty of room inside for table and chairs etc. Needs a large pitch, lots of comments from other campers on the size! Bright coloured guy ropes, used for first time this weekend very pleased with it.
