2 Reviews of the Prairie 2
By: Cobra2 Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2002 Rating:
Ive used this tent all over Europe.Travelling on my motorbike in the last 12 years. And it has never leaked. It's seen some real thunderstorms over the years and I really do rate it.I like the pitch inner 1st.As then the waterproof sheet simply sits on top of the frame you've put up.This way there is no stress on the stitching on the waterproof sheet.I'm not a big fan of tents which have poles going through the waterproof sheet. As this puts stress on the stitching where taped seams are.The only thing I dislike about this tent is the porch area is very small.A great tent for one person.Bit of a squeeze for two.

I've used this tent for the past three years for solo breaks and I can put it up, on my own, in around ten minutes. It's really spacious for one person and I don't think it would be too cramped with two occupants. It's withstood 12 hours of continuous rain, some of it torrential, and some fairly brisk breezes (although no gales, yet, I'm glad to say). The porch gives good shelter at cooler times of the day. All in all, I love it!

Manufacturer's Description
The Wynnster Prairie 2 is a super dome style. It has a porch area with an Apron style porch groundsheet that is ideal for storage.
The Prairie 2 pitches inner first for ease of assembly. The pitching guide is 2 people to pitch in approx. 10 mins. The tent also benefits from PVC windows to allow light in. This is a practical and affordable tent that is great for low - level camping. The Wynnster Prairie is also available in 3 and 4 berth versions. Suitable for D.O.E Award use
All fabrics used in for the flysheet, sleeping compartments and groundsheets have been given a Fire Retardant treatment, which in the event of an emergency will allow significantly more time to escape. Each Wynnster tent is supplied with a repair kit and they include useful items to carry out emergency repairs. The taped seams are heat sealed with a polyurethane tape to ensure complete waterproof protection. The poles benefit from a colour coding system. This incorporates colour-coded poles and pole sleeves, groundsheet clip points, plus colour coded bedroom-hanging points thus reducing the assembly time by highlighting the correct place for each part. The poles are supaflex fibreglass - these are robust poles manufactured from durable fibreglass. Fibres are constructed length ways providing strong weather resistant performance. The groundsheet is sewn in and is fire retardant, durable polyethylene. The packed size is approximately 60x12x18cm
