3 Reviews of the Hubble

Having come to the conclusion that I needed to look at tents in a slightly higher price bracket after recent bad experiences with my normal Vango/Outwell choice of tent, I spent a lot of time researching different brands and models of tents and this was the only one that really fitted my requirements.
I have used it once and haven't so far been disappointed.
It's easy to put up, I pitched it in 45 mins on my own and think I could easily do it in 30 now I know what I'm doing.
The material feels really good quality and all the seams and zips feel sturdy and well made.
It's spacious and designed to maximise the inside space. Being one of the few semi-geodesic large tents available at the moment doesn't compromise the height inside.
The storage pockets are great. The mesh windows and ceiling really do mean that the tent doesn't get too hot in the day time.
Having zips all the way round the doors is great and enables you to just open a the top of the doors. It's great being able to zip the windows shut from the inside - it means you're much more likely to open them than if you have to go outside and get wet to shut them if it starts raining. It does mean that you need to make sure it's dry properly as it creates some slight pockets where water can get trapped but that's not really a problem.
The poles looked a little flimsy to me but they seemed really robust when it was up. It withstood a day of heavy rain and winds with no problem.
The door makes a great awning and I love the fact that there's a double door so you have an enclosed area porch where you can leave your shoes and also means the inside of the tent doesn't get soaked when you go in and out, a design flaw in so many of the tunnel tents.
The only things that I would change would be the guyline runners for some Hilleberg style ones, add an internal divider into the bedroom compartment and put a two way zip on the bedroom compartment so that you can open it from both sides of the bedroom rather than climbing over the other person to reach the zip.
But these are pretty minor things that definitely don't detract from a great tent.

We own this tent and it is fantastic. Easy to put up, lots more room than it looks and the storage pockets are great for saving space. We use large campbeds which just fit but there is plenty of room aroung then for storage. In the front area we easily fitted a table and two chairs plus assorted kit when we were forced to retreat inside! Easy to keep cool when it is warm particularly if it is warm and wet as you don't have the greenhouse effect of plastic windows and the double door/awning is really versatile.
Survived heavy rain and wind with no issues.
Highly recommend, we looked at several in the same price bracket and it was definitely worth the extra cost and can be found cheaper than the RRP if you shop around.

Easily the best tent I have ever used. Big windows for ventilation, just recently spent 10+ days in Cornwall in 30oC heat and managed well. Zips, seals, sewing all feels good quality and secure unlike others I have tried. Plenty of space, both in bedroom and front area.
P.S. It was bought for £370, not £525 as noted here

Manufacturer's Description
The Hubble has a great indoor-outdoor flow with an awning that provides a large shaded area. When pegged down the awning offers twin entrances. As with all Zempire Domes, there is a huge amount of space and headroom inside.
The Hubble has a large internal bedroom at the rear of the tent. The Pod has rows of pockets both inside and out side the room and has powercord access to hook up the Plasma.
All Zempire Privacy Pods are designed with one end at full head height and one end at crouching height. This allows you to stand up and get changed and also makes the end of the tent less vulnerable to the wind.
The airflow system and massive windows on each side and rear of the tent allows an amazing airflow throughout the tent. This also lets the hot air escape, making the Hubble a very cool tent on hot summer days!
As with all our Zempire Dome tents, there is a huge amount of space and headroom inside.
