3 Reviews of the Super Sherpa

We've had this tent for about 8 or 9 years but hid it away for a while in favour of a caravan. We recently pulled it out again and have just come back from a three day break in it. This is a large tunnel tent with two four berth bedrooms. We only use one of the bedrooms and were able to fit in two double airbeds, an oil radiator and a holdall of clothes. The bedrooms have handy little pockets for glasses and what nots. It's door completely unzips in a semi-circle. It has two options for the door. Either completely enclosed or you can unzip the opaque door and just have the net woven door in use. The groundsheet is sown into the bedroom, as you would expect.

As a tunnel tent this has a uniform head space throughout and had plenty of room for my six foot plus husband to walk around in. With only using the one bedroom this leaves a spacious living area.

I like that there are four doorways available on this tent. We used one middle door and one end door this holiday. All doors come with holes for support poles so that they can be raised as a canopy which makes the tent feel roomier still. A groundsheet is not sown in and has to be purchased separately but I like that as it gives us the option of whether to use one or not. I personally like the feel of the grass under my feet in drier weather.

This tent is really easy to put up with two people and is strong and secure. We did find that condensation gathered on the inside roof of the tent in the morning but this may have been due to not using a ground sheet or using the oil radiator.

The tent material is light and dries really quickly which is great when you need to be off early on your day of departure. It comes down as easy as it goes up and folds away into it's bag easily.

This review is based on sunny, dry weather, with mild winds.

Yes me thinks we will have many more happy family holidays in this tent.

Had this tent for 5 years and used it at least 3 times a year since purchase. As previous reviewer says, it is very big with standing space throughout. We have 4 children and this tent is more than adequate. Due to very high winds this April I had to replace two shock pole rods as they split (cost less that £10), but other than that the tent is very hard wearing and has been through some really poor weather including heavy rainfalls and winds. I paid £200 online in 2004 and have had my money's worth and more as it is still like new. Will use it less now as I bought a tourer in May, but intend to re-weather proof it and keep it for another 5 years.

Bought this tent online for just over £200. Used it a number of times, very easy to put up and there is acres of room inside. When our children were babies we used to set up one side for the bedroom and have the other end and the middle as our living area, it's huge!

Would definitely recommend for a large family.
