I have had this canopy for a few years and its outlived several tents. Last year sadly the pole snapped. Not a shock after being used and abused, subjected to storms and rain 7 ot 8 times a year! I have just replaced the pole with a steel arch.Yes thats how much I love it! The seams need resealing now and again as they do tend to drip. Its a very versatile, truly universal canopy that I would be lost without! Its fits side or front of my latest tent, an Outwell Cleveland 5, its already a huge tent but I love the extra space when I use the canopy. I also use it on my 2009 Outwell nevada 3 as essential space.Bit of a co;our clash though!

Easy to set up and store. Just one tip.I use clingon clips and extra guylines at the front to stop it flapping. But I do have it as extended to the front as I can! I may invest in the grey one soon as it will go better with both of my tents.

We bought this awning because it fitted both our 4 berth and 6 berth tents. First time out in Wales, with the 4 berth, it was very windy and rained a lot. The pitch wasn't very big and I couldn't get the guy lines out properly. Hence it did blow around quite a bit. The poles at the front really bent over, worryingly so! But it stood up to the weather really well and gave us some much needed shelter. Yes, the rain did pool in places but it wasn't a problem.

Second time out, better weather, with the 6 berth tunnel tent. This time we were able to set the guy lines out properly. You have to pull them in the direction of the canvas. The tent is about 4 metres wide and we were able to extend the living area by a good 4/5 metres. We did have to adjust it slightly because we didn't realise it was pulling the top of the tent down slightly which meant we couldn't do the door up properly.

Brilliant piece of kit, really glad I bought it!

Please help if you can!

This awning does stop the rain coming in the side door of the Arinos 8 tent, and with some long plastic pegs and extra guys with holdon clips will stand up to some reasonable wind (shell island).

But - on a day/night with rain but no wind, it gets heavy, and develops pools, which lead to collapse (but no damage).

OK so I'd set it too far out- move in closer. No that didnt work

The more you tighten it the more it pulls down the middle of the main tent.

The 'saddle' in the middle of the arinos works against the convex tunnel of the canopy. Tightening everything makes the flat (and soon basin like) area bigger.

Tightened up the canopy pole strap - still fails and fails quicker because looses stability.

Best I could do was rig a second pole from play tent, following the original pole but allowed to fall/pivot back from the base by 30 degrees or so, to stop the top of the canopy flattening as it bears on the saddle of the arinos. Bit bodgey but it stopped the pooling, and I'll buy some proper sized poles and the ringpins this year, - but its a lot of hassle.

Am I missing something Mr Coleman?

Obviously there is an 'expected' amount running around the tent with a mallet when I should be catching rays and drinking beer but this seems excessive.

I made the excuse to my wife that on the argos picture it's only connected to the end, but on this years pics its definitely fixed to the middle.

Any ideas folks?
