We chose this tent as we can sit and stand in it easily. It is relatively easy to put up and take down and is quite roomy, especially the sleeping compartment, which being able to zip up separately, means you can keep it clean and bug-free. The negatives are that the front groundsheet has to be folded in when it rains, as the outer skin does not extend far enough out to keep it dry - a bit daft. Also, the tent is not warm so make sure you have warm sleeping bags & mats. It folds up pretty small so easy to transport. We have just used it during a very, wet and stormy night and did get a bit of rain in through the top somewhere, but it pooled on top of the inner 'bedroom' and did not drip onto us, so that was pretty good. Overall it was a good buy - but we paid around Ł65 - I wouldn't rate it so highly if I'd paid the RRP.

Similarly to the other reviews on here we also bought this tent for about Ł70 in Millets.

We love our tent, even though its just for two adults, we wanted one large bedroom as we have a dog who we like to have sleeping in with us. There is loads of room for our double airbed and the dogs bed plus all our bags etc.

The living area is also a great size. The only downside we know of is when it rains you have to keep the doors shut or rain drips in onto the groundsheet. Also when you open the doors. We have rectified this by getting a tent porch which not only gives us an additional 3sqm of undercover space, it means we can cook, sit etc in the dry.

We have camped in all weathers in this tent happily, we hadnt thought about the internal netting making the tent cold but suppose it might. Just take lots of blankets!

We wont be changing this tent for many years to come!

I was always a bit of a sceptic where camping was concerned but decided to give it a go for the bank holiday weekend Aug 2010. We bought this in the sale at Millets and it was around Ł60 so we were happy with this. It's a great tent, size-wise, and is easy to pitch but is not completely sewn in which meant in windy weather we were open to the elements. Fear not said my other half and he obtained a tarp groundsheet which he managed to attach to the inside of the tent using bungee ropes so despite a hairy first night in Anglesey (a very breezy place anyway) we were quite comfortable for the rest of the weekend and even stayed an extra 2 nights. So now I have the camping bug and we have since upgraded our tent twice and it is only 2011!

Great tent, really roomy, the bedroom is massive and separate from the porch area. Great you can stand up in it and has 3 exterior doors and no problem cooking in the porch area when it is raining. It has passed the British Rain and wind test with flying colours! We bought it last year with 70% off and really pleased with our purchase. We are looking forward to many more camping adventures in our Eden 5!

My wife and I bought this to replace our much smaller Regatta 4 Person Dome Tent. We just love the extra space and we can sit in the porch comfortably. Having two doors is a bonus. Would have given it 10 stars but struggled a bit with the poles going though the sleeves, but I think it will get better with a bit more practice at putting it up. All in all a good purchase.

This was a spur of the moment impulse buy when Millets had a sale and was Ł70.00 we used it for 1 weekend. The size and shape is fantastic with a massive 3m x 3m bedroom and huge head height. The groundsheet is attached to the bedroom so is a perfect fit and lays flat. My gripes are the bedroom has bug netting all around the sides so tended to be cold/ lots of airy ventilation. The pole sleeves are quite slim so a lot of heaving pushing pulling reqd it was a struggle to get it up.

Went and bought this tent also from millets cost Ł69.99 as they had 70% off all their tents very happy with size of bedroom and living area very easy to put up and put away the easiest we have had by far we have just come back from 3 nights in Lowestoft our first night was spent in the car as the tent we had taken with us (not the Eden 5) leaked like a sieve even in the bedroom love this tent

I bought this tent in Millets in June 2010.

At the time, Millets were offering a discount on the tent. The Ł249.99 price tag had been reduced to Ł209.99. Millets were also offering a deal on all of the tents that cost more than Ł200 in that Millets threw in 2 Mummy sleeping bags, 2 Eurohike chairs, 2 wind-up lanterns and an inflatable double mattress (total value of free stuff was RRP Ł173.00)

I chose the Eurohike Eden 5 tent because I was advised that it has the largest single living area of the dome tents.

We have a 7 month old baby. We wanted enough space for her full size travel cot as well as all of the faff that comes with a baby. My husband is 6ft 5 so the tent also needed to be long/wide enough for him to lie out flat.

I was impressed.

The bedroom part of the tent is massive. We used 2 x inflatable single mattresses which are each basically the size of a standard single mattress. We put the travel cot in between them so we could sleep either side of our baby. The mattresses and cot fit nicely and leave an area of floor space at the foot of each mattress for storage.

The size of the tent is such that the height allowed both my husband and I to stand inside the tent. Granted, my husband couldn’t stand completely upright but he didn’t really expect to. He could stand almost completely upright which impressed him.

The bedroom has a fully sewn in groundsheet. This kept the bugs out.

Outside the bedroom is a porch area. The groundsheet is sewn onto the bedroom part but not attached to any other wall. Bugs can get into the porch part but not into the bedroom. During the night we were also visited by a bird, a rabbit and a hedgehog (who enjoyed the tent so much he came back 3 times).

The first night we tried it, it rained heavily. The bedroom was completely dry and provided good protection. The porch part flooded in one area but that was probably due to the fact we hadn’t pulled the green flysheet tight/out enough to provide enough overhang. The rain dripped onto the corner of the porch groundsheet and pooled in a puddle outside the door of the bedroom (the ground underneath was dipped slightly). There was no risk of the water getting into the bedroom because the groundsheet on the bedroom goes up the wall a good few inches but it’s something to consider when considering what to store in the porch.

We were particularly impressed with the door in the side of the porch. This meant we didn’t need to open the tent at the very front. This means that people wandering by don’t stare directly into the tent/bedroom.

The tent got quite cold at night. There is a netting window all around the inside part of the bedroom which cannot be closed. The huge interior is not well heated by 2 adults and a baby. It might be better if you happen to be a party of 5 adults and need ventilation.

There is a flap at the back which is held open by 2 guy ropes. The tent could have benefited from having an additional place for guy rope attachment for use in high winds. We found that we had to use all of the guy ropes which meant that the vent flap was held open facing into the wind (Tent came with advice to point the rear of the tent into the prevailing wind) which dropped the interior temperature further. If we had disconnected the guy ropes, the flap would have been flapping in the wind loudly, which was not ideal.

We managed to pitch the tent in about 40 minutes and take down in about 30 minutes. It comes with colour coded poles. We found it best to do the grey ones first. They cross over to make the dome. Then do the 2 red poles. They provide the igloo bit at the front of the tent. If you have space, its best to put all of the poles in before bending them into the dome shape. Then you hang the bedroom inside the flysheet.

I think it would be difficult to put it up on your own, due to the size of it. Luckily for us, our baby was content to watch us putting it up and wasn’t too demanding.

In conclusion, I am pleased with my purchase.
