Great tent for what it is and for the price, lightweight and waterproof. Have not used it in high winds but the curved shape, pointed into the wind would hold up well I suspect. It is quite sturdy.

Used it from Lustleigh to suffolk and a fair few places in between.

Condensation obviously happens as its a single skin, but a twig proping open each vent and the outer door left open (can be rolled back completely if wanted as the overhang shelters it from rain normally). A small microfibre towel from a poundshop mops up the water from the walls.

It is obviously cooler than a twin skin, but a reasonable sleeping bag (lidls again, mummy bag) and a fleece blanket (Ł1.79 currently in Ikea) for when its cooler makes it comfortable.

I also use a self inflating matt, which I got for around Ł7 in a sale at wilkinsons 2 years ago.

A very light (foil backed thin foam) car windscreen ice cover makes it even warmer.

I use it on solo hiking trips and low profile camping while cycle touring on overnight trips with uncertain weather when bivibag seems to risky.

It is rated as 2 berth however I would not use it as such.

It fits me and all of my gear inside but that is it. One more person it would be pushing it. You need to be well away from the rain fly (flysheet) as they will get moist during the night due to condensation.

Good things about this tent are:

- price

- weight 1.6 kg

Bad things:

- single skin tent which means you will get a bit of condensation inside. That is physics.

- small entry I need to crawl in and crawl out.

- vents at the back don't stay open in the rain or wind they need to be supported with something

- one can't sit inside

I knew the limitations before the purchase and quality seems to be good. I would buy it again. I have used seamgrip on all seams just in case as I was worried about possible leaks.

Bought this tent for a scooter rally in Kelso this year. Felt like the smallest tent there but the packed size was perfect for fitting onto the front rack of my Vespa. I would class it as a 1 man hiking tent to be honest, it would be a real squeeze to get 2 people and bags into it. It was reasonably waterproof for a single skinned tent although there was a little bit of water/condensation on the inside in the morning after some heavy rain.

Agree with other comment about not comparing it to more expensive tents, it doesn't compete, but for a Ł15 hiking tent it's pretty good value for money.

I bought this to use for a half planned (and shelved) hiking camp. It is terrific value for money and seems quite well made too. It has its limitations of course it is a one or maybe at a stretch two season tent and is quite snug for one person and not to be recommended for two people however small they may be. It would have been nice if the vents could have been fitted with a brace of some nature as they don't actually open to any degree I ended up shoving a sock up when of them to force it open a little.

In my view this would be a great back-up tent for the kids or a visitor when you are away in your main tent or as a hiking tent where you are not to far away from other people. I would not trust it on a windy day on the coast or if I was in the middle of nowhere on my own. More money would need to be spent for those occasions.

Hiking tent suited to (low level,in my opinion) motor cycling, bicycle, walking.

Not fair to compare to a Ł89- Ł200 pound tent or a tent intended for Everest.

Not sure hot the tall tail design would cope with wind.

I would say that I am unsure how the design would cope in high wind due to the triangle shape entrance and the design of the curved back.

Also the tent is single skin. Think festival tent but with good 2000mm HH weather proofing. There is also two big vents to the rear.

Although rated as two man, myself being a tall 6ft 1 guy found it a tight fit but usable, but regard would be needed to the thickness of your sleeping mat and bag, or you might get condensation wet sleeping bag & feet?.
