Ok for first-time camping.

This tent was my second tent, having previously had a frame tent I wanted something more manageable with regards to it's packed size. This tent is certainly that and doesn't take up much room in the boot at all. It is also quick and easy to put up.

Unfortunately with this tent you really do get what you pay for. The material is very thin and when it rains you can feel the mist coming through. The bedrooms are on the small side, it is more a 4 berth than a 6 and you cannot stand up anywhere in the tent although there is just about space for a small kitchen area and enough room to sit down on the floor in the middle area (no good for chairs). The groundsheet doesn't keep out any wind or rain so you feel like you want to hibernate in the bedrooms in poor weather.

This all sounds very negative but I think this tent would be ok if you are moving on from a basic dome and only spending a weekend as a family. I certainly wouldn't want to spend a week in it with 6 people. I do definitely think there are better tents out there for the same money.

I got one of these cheap second hand to see if the Mrs would take to camping as she has never done it and she didn't want to spend too much money just to find out she hated it. The one I had was huge, it did not look like the other ones I've seen as mine had a dome middle with a bedroom either end. We got the tent up in no time (30 mins max) but we did have a practice run at home to see how it went up and to make sure everything was there. Just as we got it up it started to rain but the tent looked ok and had no leaks so was well pleased.

Living space was ok for a family of 3 or 4 but would not want to have 6 in the tent as this would be a tight squeeze, the sleeping areas were roomy enough for 2 adults but you would not want 3 in there unless you were all 'VERY' close to each other.

On the second day it lashed down with rain and the tent started to leak on the seam where the bedrooms hang, it then started to run down the bedroom netting.

We decided to bin the tent when we got home but it has not put off the Wife so we got a new Gelert Horizon 6 to go out with next time.

On the whole it was is ok but don't expect it to be any better than a cheap and cheery tent.

We brought it Friday and used it Sunday as a spur of the moment thing it was cramped with the two adults using camping cots so I had to use the centre to sleep in not good the two kids had loads of room though.

Big downfall it leaked through the sticking which was almost every area of a nylon tent not good. Its going back Monday.

Most certainly not suitable for 6 people, but then I never believe the berth ratings on tents. We had 4 adults, and it was cosy but comfortable.

Easy to pitch, and withstood some heavy winds and a thunderstorm with really heavy rain, couldn't ask for more from a value tent.

Some condensation in living area in the mornings, but not enough to be a problem, and the ventilation windows help with that.

Guy it down properly and it feels pretty sturdy and solid.

Bought this to see if my family and I would like camping. Tent is really easy to put up.Never having put up a tent before me and my 14 and 15 yr old sons managed it in half hour. Spent 2 trips away in it. The first we had torrential rain and severe winds. Rain did get in to the central room under the door but took a good 12 hour battering before I started to get in round the windows. Second trip it rained for a good 12 hours solid but wasn't torrential and it kept all rain out other than just by the door. As others said, plenty of room for 4. Fits back in bag nice and easy. Has been a great tent for our first summer camping. Perfect starter tent!

Tent was reasonably easy to put up, like all other comments about size - no good for 6 people but a roomy 4 people tent. Tent model has changed slightly this year both bedroom pods are now the same size. Groundsheet could have been a better fit slight gaps at doorway and opposite side. Was very warm to sleep in and stood-up to windy weather. Not tested in rainy weather yet. Good value for money for only £49.

I have this tent and for the price I think its actually very good! I got it in an offer some years ago to go camping in Cornwall. It took hardly any time to put up as only 4 poles involved. You can fit a double bed in the bedrooms and the living bit gives you space to breath so your not under each others feet! we had lovely weather the 1st time I used it.

It was left for over a year and iv just recently got back from another camp trip in Bodmin where we had awful drizzle for 2 days and during the night quite heavy relentless rain! the tent held up very well and only leaked very slightly when a pool of water formed on the roof! the living bit was big enough to allow me to use a small single burner stove safely - which I know your not supposed to do but didn't have much choice with the weather! I had no prob with ground sheet as I just tucked it under the 2 bedrooms without pegs!

All in all I say a good tent and if you can grab it for bargain price then an excellent 1st time tent - although I think it would be a bit of a squeeze to get 3 in each bedroom but sleeps 4 very comfortably!

Have used this tent for two weekends away now - we bought it because it was cheap at £45 from Argos and being beginners at camping we thought it would do the job. The first night I realised it was way too small having spent the whole time bent over walking in and out of it. The bedrooms are ok for 2 people in each bit there is no way you would want 3 people in each bedroom (advertised as 6 man tent). The middle area was used for clothes and accessories so really wasnt any room to sit. Luckily our friends had a large tent with living room so we spent the nights in with them.

Condensation was another problem - in the morning it was dripping! Although I must say it never actually rained in!

This tent is okay for 2 nights but I will be investing in a bigger one for next year if we plan to go away for longer, it will have to have a sewn in groundsheet and ample standing room and an area to sit comfortably.

Overall a festival/weekend tent and definitely not for families.

We first used this tent last year for a 2 night stay, after buying it in the Argos sale for £40. My younger son and I used one room together. We fitted a double airbed in one room and used the other for all our stuff.I did find that condensation meant everything felt damp in the morning. It rained while on our visit and there were no leaks or water running in, even though where we stayed was very windy. The tent withstood the battering from the winds, much to my delight, as I was pretty worried we'd be blown away. Good tent, but I don't think we would fit more than 4 of us in it, unless they were kids.

Got this is the sale for £49, well worth it. Took half an hour to put up the first time but can do it now in 20 minutes or so. It does really need 2 people to erect it. We used it for a 10 day holiday for just 2 people. We kept our clothes etc in one of the 'bedrooms' and slept in the other. Although 4 adults could sleep comfortably I really would like to try it for too long and I think 6 adults would really be pushing it too far. We had very strong winds and heavy rain and found that the rain did drip in through the window zip on the door but it was very heavy and to be honest didn't cause us any problems. It could have been much worse. Only slight niggle was the amount of condensation dripping off the roof every morning when we got up. We tried everything to prevent it opening a variety of windows and vents but it still happened. All in all though we were very pleased with the tent even after 10 days in it.
